  1. Hi, I have both RAAS Locked (Aerosoft Airbus version) and Unlocked (from the bundle PMDG 737 NGX Reboot Captain's Set 64bits). I mistakenly installed the Airbus (Locked) version first and after tried installing the unlocked version (uninstalled the locked version and installed only the unlocked version). For some reason the Unlocked version was not added into the DLL.xml file, which I did manually. RAAS then initiated correctly, but still shows as AIRBUS on the top of the settings window (Addons > RAAS). It still works with all airplanes, but I have to manually turn on the master each time. Is there any way to fully uninstall RAAS, so this link to the old Airbus locked version is 100% removed? Any ideas? Thank you!
  2. Ok. I stopped using Spad.Next with the Q400 and disabled the Linda option in FS2Crew and all callouts and readings are now correct. The "ON" recognition however is different from the 737 NGX Reboot version for sure. It only recognises the pronunciation of "HONE" (it actually write downs like that in green text) as "ON", while in the 737 it recognises and writes "ON" as feedback. I would be curious to know if other users see like that as well. Also, it does not recognises "TONS" (no matter what) and if you are planning any updates in the future, the call-out for "Emergency Brake / Pressure" as part of the before start checklist has an annoying long pause between the two words in the UK2 profile. 😉 Apart from that, great product as always! Thank you for the support!
  3. Hi Byork, Thanks for the prompt reply. Indeed, I am using Spad.Next for my Saitek panels. I turned on Linda in CFG and it seems to have solved the issues 1 to 4. Regarding 5, this is really upsetting. As I have been using FS2Crew for a couple of years already, I have trained my computer several times (5x or more) and indeed I noticed a step improvement on doing that. When I first start using FS2Crew, I struggled with On / Arm / Armed in the 737 as well, but after adding the words to the speech dictionary with my own pronunciation, the problem was 100% solved. Strangely enough, the same pronunciation is not recognized by the Q400 version. At some point, I found out that saying 'Hone' would be recognized as 'one' in the Q400 version, but saying 'hone' is not realistic, so yesterday I added the term 'hone' to the speech recognition and recorded it using a normal pronunciation for 'one'. For my surprise, after that FS2Crew was not responding to both 'one' or 'hone' pronunciations, but instead read it always as 'arm'. Any clues? It is normal that different versions have different pronunciations for the same word? The 737 version continues to work flawlessly. Another phrase I cannot make FS2Crew to understand is the fuel readout in tons. It understands thousand kilograms or pounds quite well, but tons is never understood. Adding tons to the speech dictionary did not help. Thank you!
  4. Hi, Big fan of FS2Crew here. I own the PMDG 737 and 747, Aerosoft Airbus, Maddog versions and just a few days ago I bought the Dash 8 version. Despite of knowing the intricacies of FS2Crew and its configuration, I am struggling with some weird issues: 1. The most annoying one is that the Flight Attendant don't stop calling me from some point during cockpit preparation until the end of the flight. Every couple of minutes I here "Hello", but I have never called her / pressed the CALL button. I order anything just to get rid of her, it is delivered and moments after I hear "hello" again during for the entire duration of the flight. My guess is that it starts during cockpit preparation after I move the Audio Move Selector to PA to hear the first cabin announcement (about +4 min). After hearing the announcement and making my Welcome announcement, the FA starts her unstoppable cockpit service 🤣😣. Weirdly, I also noticed that after rotating to PA, the PA panel sometimes automatically open and sometimes I have to click PA to show it (w/ some lag). I have tried finding any shortcuts I may be using that could somehow interfere in the "Call" button, but there is none. 2. FO is not able to read the QNH and Fuel Onboard, instead always reads "0000". 3. After Engine Start Checlist is complete, FO always says 'Looks like we are picking up some ice', it does not mater what is the weather (last time was on a summer day 17oC and the same message was given) and the fact that there is no active ice detection alert. 4. I noticed the FO is not calling the Vspeeds (last response is the power check) and therefore it does not react to my "Gear Up" call on initial climb. Status keeps locked at <takeoff proc> and the FO keeps repeating "one thousand to go". I have to manually advance to climb phase and then speak "flaps zero, IAS ..." to which he accepts and executes, but keeps repeating "one thousand to go" non-stop after that. 5. Also, I have been struggling with the "On" word pronunciation. No matter how I try, it won't recognise it, but instead it reads "Armed". I am not a native speaker and I know my limitations, but I live in UK for about 3 years and I believe I know how to speak "On" properly. A similar problem used to happen in my 737, which I solved 100% by adding armed / arm / on words in speech dictionary in Windows. Strangely, it works for the 737, but not for the Dash 8. Is this even possible? Edit: Found out that it recognises ''hone" as the pronunciation for 'one'. Never seen this in the manuals or on online videos. Any clues? Running P3D 4.5 / Majestic v1.020a / FS2Crew V3.3. / Win 10 64-bit. Appreciate any insights. Many thanks! Edit: Trying reinstalling and remembered to have seen this error when installing C++:
  5. Hi Bryan, I really appreciate FS2Crew and the amount of realism it adds to the sim. Have been using it with my PDMG 737 for a long time. I've bought the Airbus v4.3 and from day one it is a must have addon. My only question is to confirm that indeed there is only one SOP for the Airbus and if there are any plans to improve this? I really like the three options on the 737, but mainly the quality and level of details of the SOPs. The Airbus version looks quite simple in comparison. I would really appreciate a more detailed version with PF and PM flows combined, panel images, etc. Appreciate your thoughts! Thank you very much for this great addon!
  6. Hi, thank you very much everyone for the comments. I made the transition this week and I could not be happier! Another world! My PC is running P3D V4.1 with a much better performance (even with PMDG) and graphics/effects are far superior! Welcome 64-bit! May I hijack this topic to ask another quick question, that maybe someone could answer easily? I am looking to a place to find key aircraft data from my PMDG 737 NGX in order to properly set the aircraft profiles in SkyVector, PFPX, Topcat and so on. I already searched a lot in the forums, PMDG manuals, but I can only find some fragmented info. I am looking to things like Cruise Speed, Cruising Altitude, Cruise Fuel Flow, Fuel Capacity, Weights, Wake Turbulence Category, etc. Is there a best or most commonly know place to find such things (e.g. aircraft.cfg, any manual in particular, any website to download profiles for PFPX, Topcat)? Mainly for PMDG, but also for Aerosoft or FSLabs aircrafts... I wonder if no one has created a databse, downloadable profiles, etc. It will help a lot! Many thanks!
  7. Many thanks to everyone! Really appreciate all comments! I think I will follow the advice to start slowly with only P3D w/o many addons and keep my FSX:SE install for a while, until the transition becomes natural...
  8. Hi Everyone, I am an old enthusiast of flight sim for more than a decade (coming from FS2000/2002). I have started training to become a real life pilot (as a hobby), but for now I mainly continue to be passionate to learn from the community and spend a few hours during nights and weekends doing my airliner flights on my PC. Lately, I have been flying in FSX:SE (moved from retail FSX), mostly with PMDG 737NGX and Aerosoft Airbus family. I am the type of person that take time to read the manuals, watch several tutorials and truly learn how to fly these jets. I do my flights offline, but following real airline routes/schedules and in order to reach a high level of realism, I have tons of addons in FSX:SE. My setup is pretty stable and performance is good as my PC is relatively new and high-end. This weekend I attended the Flight Sim 2017 event in UK and between FSFX Packages and Dovetail presentations, to my surprise, I found myself lagging behind the community in terms of platform. I discovered that the vast majority of the audience has already moved to Prepar3d or X-Plane 11. Therefore, having considered moving to Prepar3D before, this realisation made me rethink and research again. Therefore, I would really appreciate some expert advice from people who has already done this switch, considering all the doubts and costs involved. My simple question is, is it worthy to move to P3D v4 from a "stable" FSX:SE setup with ton of addons and without being "hardcore" user (not VA member / weekends flyer)? My main points of doubt are the following: Moving from FSX:SE to Prepar3d v4 will cost me almost $500 USD between license and new addons (list below). Prepar3d has this policy that new versions cost a new license and I fear (a lot) having to pay for another license and worst, paying for addons upgrades every 2 or 3 years, when I have my current setup for FSX for a long time. I discarded X-Plane 11 as option, as it seems a very good 'out of the box' platform, but focused on GA and with very few addons (particularly from those I already own and usually fly with). Addons I currently use in FSX:SE (impact of switching to P3D v4): Aerosoft - A320 Family (FREE but, will need to wait for v4) PMDG - 737 NGX (PAY $90, need to buy a entire new version for P3D) FS2Crew 2 Reboot NGX (PAY $35, need an upgrade) ORBX - FTX Global Base (FREE) FSFX Packages - Chaseplane (FREE) FSPassengers X (PAY, will take months to be ready for v4, probably move to FSCaptain as it is free upgrade) HiFi Simulations - Active Sky Next (PAY $30, need to buy newer version AS4 for v4) Navigraph - FMS Data Manager (FREE) Pete Dowson - FSUIPC 4 (PAY $44, need to buy new version 5) Pointsoft - ProATC/X (FREE) REX Simulations - Texture Direct HD w/ Soft Clouds (FREE) REX Simulations - Worldwide Airports HD (FREE, but in development) A2A Accu-Feel v2 (PAY, still in development but need to buy a new version) My Traffic 6 (Not sure, probably would buy Ultimate Traffic Live for another $45) Navigraph - FMS Data Manager (FREE) FS Genesis - World Terrain Mesh for FSX (Not sure, probably would go for FreeMeshX or FS Global Ultimate Mesh for another $85) Really appreciate some opinions if the (high) cost/benefit would be acceptable/worthy. I understand 64-bit would be a new world, but I am afraid if I should not wait and check 1-2yrs down the road if FSW or X-Plane take off and then move to a next-gen plataform, considering that based on everything I've read so far (please correct me if I am wrong here), P3D would give me a much similar experience to my current setup in FSX:SE? Many Thanks!
