Updated MSFS wish list for Santa Claus
PJD replied to bofhlusr's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Can't believe no one has mentioned the ATC! It is the most atrocious piece of c***p I have ever heard, every pilot and controller on frequency talks with the same voice (sometimes a male, sometimes female) but always an American accent. Asobo / Microsoft please fix this, it is impossible to follow what is going on around you when everyone has the same voice and the whole word does NOT speak with an American accent! -
I still get the controller and every pilot on frequency talking with the same voice (sometimes male sometimes female) but everyone has the same voice. Makes it totally unrealistic and difficult to know who is talking. Also Microsoft / Asobo please take note, the whole world does NOT speak with an American accent! It's definitely still the worst thing about MSFS and if anything is worse than the ATC was in FSX.

Not a problem, that is as it is in the real aircraft. The bottom left corner of the ND displays information for either the currently tuned VOR on Nav1 or the currently tuned ADF if ADF1 is selected on the EFIS panel. If the nav radio is tuned to an ILS frequency then the information will be displayed in the top left corner of the PFD and the top right corner of the ND when it is set to App mode. (An ILS is not a VOR)

Problem solved, it was a 3rd party livery that was causing it. I wasn't even using the livery but as soon as it was removed from the community folder the problem went away 🙂

Thanks, I guessed it might be a problem with my setup as I hadn't seen any other mentions of a problem on the forums. Time to start checking assignments and disabling add-ons I guess!

Hi, I seem to have a problem with the taxi lights on the default 747, they flash on and off about once per second whenever they are switched on. Could someone confirm if this happens for them and is a bug? If not it may be something in my own set-up that I need to investigate! Thanks

RAF Honington is not an active airfield and has no controlled airspace. I believe that there can on occasion be temporary restrictions in place but these are the exception rather than the rule and would be notified via NOTAMS. Looking at a (out of date) southern England VFR chart it looks as though your route would take you across the "stub" of the Mildenhall / Lakenheath MATZ (Military Air Traffic Zone) this is technically class G airspace so you can legally fly through it without talking to anyone but it would be good airmanship to talk to them and request a MATZ penetration. Alternatively you could avoid it by flying above 3000', below 1000' or by flying a short dog leg. Bury St Edmunds is right on the corner of the MATZ so flying just south of the town would keep you clear of the MATZ.
