Greetings all. I'm new to this forum but wanted to share my build with everyone. I fly Flight1 Software's execllent Pilatus PC12 with FS2004 and wanted to build panels to substitute for mouse clicks (as do most of us here on this forum). I didn't need a full cockpit or digital displays, just the buttons and rotary switches. So, I programmed my own PIC microcontroller to interface the switches with the USB port of my PC, built the panels, and wrote a nice article folks might be interested in. Here is a photo of my panels in use: PC12 PanelsAlso, here is a link to the .pdf article I wrote. PC12 Panels.pdf It's a little over 2.2 MB but it's a pretty good read. Certainly if you have any questions or would like some clarification you can contact me at
[email protected] made many mistakes along the way, especially programming the USB descriptor, but hopefully this article will help someone else avoid the pitfalls and mistakes I made.Enjoy,Roy
