  1. Nice. I'm also an interpreter with French donc on aurait pu communiquer en français ;)Bon courage!
  2. Good evening,Love Canada :)I came here to post a positive update: I solved my problem.I have a Speedlink joystick with side thrust control (http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=414&pid=21606&paus=1 - I really should invest in a proper yoke but it's good since I enjoy single seater aerobatics and the odd fighter which is more real rather than autoflight airbus). Nevertheless, this little monkey has vibration and it seems that, when I deactivate the virbation feedback from within the FSX control menu, I now have perfect FPS on the ground, too!I wish I could explain how that works, but it does. So, should anyone ever find this thread before the end of the world next year ( :( ), just deactivate vibrate and it won't affect your FPS.
  3. Dear fellow participants, I've just joined so I may resolve this baffling situation. Perhaps I'll stick around to help others if I ever can.Very long-time user of FS since 95, real-world pilot and for the last 8 months, been the proud owner of a system hand-built (not by me) over £1,000's worth just for FSX.Never had any problems, spent some days getting settings/resolutions correct, got my add ons, etc, etc... Have very high settings on all sliders (80%+...incl. some cars, high global/local air traffic, around 30-50% for each).Only last week did I go for a flight in my newly purchased Airbus X which I find most enjoyable (and quite life-like, highly recommended personally). Was all fine, but a few days ago, for no reason whatsoever (no other programs running, no new software, no graphics card fiddling, absolutely no difference whatsoever), I suddenly have an FPS of literally 1. Between the 1FPS, it rolls smooth but them stops, rolls, then stops... It's utterly uncontrollable, UNTIL, and this is utterly bizarre, the second the wheels leave the ground (which it will always stop at for 2 seconds before actually becoming airborne), the FPS jumps straight back up to over 30+ and flies with no problems. I touch down, and back to 1FPS every second with smooth rolling between the jumps. What did I do? 1. I halved all graphics settings and cut the weather and traffic to 0%... same problem.2. I try full and normally screen sizes with varying graphics levels... same problem.3. Different planes... same problem.4. Starting with a default plane (it happens with them too, not only add-ons), but still... same problem.I've tried it all. A full re-install is out the question since I live in mainland Europe now and my box-case is in my English abode so can't reinstall.Am pretty au-fait with computers in general, so have all up to date anti-virus stuff, registry clean, auslogics and windows disk defrag, ccleaner, spybot, all that lot.Come to think of it, one thing I haven't done is delete the FSX.CFG file and started FS again to get a clean one... maybe that will help.Any other comments would be excrutiatingly welcome!Best VS.
