1. Long time lurker, first time poster. Have spent a few years on FS9 with my shabby laptop, and after spending many an hour on Youtube since the recent addition of the FSX i5-2500k videos, I've finally made the step up to FSX with the purchase of the following machine:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.7Ghz CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Frio Operating System: Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68A-D3 Memory: 8.0GB Corsair DDR3 1600mhz Vengeance (2 x 4GB) Hard Drives: WD Caviar Black 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s Second hard drive: NEW! WD Caviar Black 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB Case: Zalman Z9 Plus PSU: 500W Xigmatek
My only query relating to the machine is with respect to the power supply. Will the 500W be enough for the components listed? I'm pretty confident in the rest of the specs, hopefully I'll obtain a smooth flying experience once up and running. Matt
