Derate calculator for 777-200LR available
You're absolutely right. The correct assumed temperature is validated through the corresponding tables. Therefore, I dont enter the value in the form. The tool only creates a rough calculated value. This is based on rules of thumb by real pilots and based for example on OAt, TOW and runway length. This is a proposal, which of course must be validated. I have insufficient knowledge of the matter and must rely on the knowledge of others in the formulas.

The last update for the next 2 days. I found some small bugs in the code and corrected. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jxbxn2x5d9aiwz7/777DeRate.zip The VB2010 debugger shows no errors: I have no idea what still to do if that also does not work

You can change the font color It tests only whether VB 2010 programs basically work on this PC, or is the problem in the code of the tool.

@Knippi I suspect "Runway OK" is correct (all fields filled out) only the color is wrong? TOW is still not part of the assumed temerature. Am just about to add that. *Color fixed @JG This error is immediately at startup or when you change something in the tool?

I've rewritten large parts of the code, and hope that it works at all. :Praying: I could test still not intensive. I'm counting on you. The A button is visible again and the (roughly) calculated assumed temperature can be applied with a single mouse click. http://www.file-upload.net/download-8093030/777DeRate.zip.html

The button is slipped and not visible through the GUI conversion in another control. Fixed. :Whew: This is good. I'll disable some functions in a copy of the tool. So might find the error. Slowly I get also order in the incredibly many variables. If this continues I can teach soon "Derate for professionals" at a pilot school :p0504:

Hello Rob, (and of course everyone else who can not start the tool) I have written a simple little senseless program. Try it please. I would like to know whether it is a general problem of VB or is located in the program code of the calculators. http://www.file-upload.net/download-8092306/Hello-Rob.exe.html

The Runway. csv contains data from the FS and the installed airports, not the real. Because you will use the tool only for the FS (hopefully  ) this is ok. An update feature is built into the tool. See post #59. Who needs Realworld data can edit the Runway.CSV with EXCEL for example. The calculation is not yet complete and bug-free, it is still a GUI test. He should be finished now with the new version. The GUI is now clearer and more logical structure. Please post here if you find errors. http://www.file-upload.net/download-8090762/777DeRate.zip.html Where the program is not running, I'm sorry but I have no solution to the time. . . Now I'm working on the formulas and the correct calculation. I hope I can finish the tool this week. Most of it is already done. :Whew: Michael, run Makerunway.EXE on your dailly use-FSX computer and copy then the Runway.CSV with a USB stick on the computer where the tool is running. The Derate calculator requires no permanent connection to the FSX.

This tool not calculated yet because even serious errors and incorrect data in my formulas are. The original EXCEL file by Lasse works correctly. The current version is used to optimize and customize the user interface.

This is a feature, not a bug. It is necessary to have defined values. The input is possible only in iHg and ° C. Then please switch if desired. It is changed in one of the next updates. Currently, I have installed the monitoring of the MTOW and improved the MAP.
