    How would I get sounds from a virtual cockpit to the 2D cockpit?

    I recently purchased the QW787 and the 2D cockpit has outside sounds instead of cockpit sounds. How would I get the same VC sounds into the 2D cockpit?

    My oil quantity in the #2 engine is always lower than the #1 engine. Even topping it off and after a 4 hour flight #2 is lower by 2%. After substantial flying 50 to a 100 hrs the engine oil in the # 2 burns so much more oil then #1 and requires a fill up below 76%. I cycle between 1 and 2 at engine start. Anyone else experience this type of consistency?

    Since "generate routes" is down at simroutes.com It's cumbersome planning a flight. When entering the route into the NGX FMC and saving it, why doesn't it create and load the route into ASN (Active Sky Next) like it does for the 777? Or is this a feature I need to enable? It sure would be nice if it did.

    The "Saitek PRO Flight Yoke" you have listed does not turn a full 180 degrees, Only 45 degrees left and 45 degrees right with a total of 90 degrees if that matters. That was a deciding factor for me in which prompted me not to purchase. http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/yoke.html

     

    This yoke turns 90 degrees left and 90 degrees right for a total 180 degrees: "Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Yoke System" which I just purchased a month ago. Works well. About $U.S.284 with the throttles on Amazon. Hope this helps.

    Well coming to find out, it was a big heat issue. I've had it for years and never realized it. That explains why the frame rate drop. I have since cleaned off my heat sink and reapplied Artic Silver 5 Thermal Paste and a HUGE night and day difference. I am currently running smooth at 60fps + @ maxed out in detail with a core temp of 50 degree Celsius at max load. I'm in love all over again! Heat Kills! I would still like to bump my clock up to 4.5ghz! I need a walk thru though. I also have that fan on the way! Thank you

    FSX SP2 with ASX on Windows 7 Home Premium Running a i5 2500K CPU @ 3.30GHZ 3.60GHZ 16GB RAM 1TB hard drive. Video Card is a  ATI Technologies AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series.

     

    All my scenery settings in FSX are on low and im getting 25 to 50 fps with drops of 1.5 to 10fps in turbulence for some reason. (What I have noticed)

    With all my settings up on HIGH im getting at most 15fps. Is it my system or my video card?

     

    I would give anything to have a smooth running FSX with sliders to the max or even half way.

    Fuel light on in my recal  display. Ive started from a long panel state and cant seem to shake it. Plenty of fuel with fuel pumps on. I noticed this after I did the update to sp1d.

     

    Now, I also noticed in the ABOUT section of my FMC it says Version 1.1 instead of sp1d. Is that right?

    Hi, Mark,

     

    Open the aircraft.cfg file for each of the three 777 versions w/ notepad.  Back up each one before you modify it.  Find "[cameradefinition.3]" which should be titled "Overhead Lower Panel" (this is the camera view for the main part of the overhead panel).

     

    At the end of that entry, just before the beginning of cameradefinition.4, type "HotKeySelect=2" (w/out ").   Make sure you don't leave a blank line between this entry and the entry on the previous line.  Also make sure that, in FSX>Controls, "2-D Cockpit View" is set to F10.  This will make F10 give you the overhead panel view.  You will lose this as a shortcut for the 2D cockpit view, which you don't need.  This will give you a view of the VC overhead -- as Kyle said, there is no 2D overhead popup.

     

    You can also make F11 show a downward looking view of the CDUs, throttles, lower center DU, etc., by finding [cameradefinition.5], "CDUs and ECL," and adding "HotKeySelect=3".  You will lose F11 as a shortcut to "locked spot view" but there are other ways to get to that.

     

    You should be able to modify some of the parameters in each cameradefinition entry to change the zoom and precise location of the view.  But even without this, you will only have to adjust the view to how you like it once per flight.

    The decimal format was wrong anyway. From what I recall, it should be:

    N0400.0W09000.1; or

    N04W090

     

    The direction always precedes the number unless it's in the short 5 char format (which isn't actually a lat/lon format as much as it's a fake "fix" translated by the nav database).

     

    The acceptable Boeing formats are in FCOMv2.

    Irrelevant Blue star. It was probably me. I originally signed with my first name and edited it and put my last. Back to the task at hand..

    Whats your idea of what could be happening and I couldn't get that decimal in the fmc under that format.

    My flight plan SEGS "OSELO 04N090W 06N090W 08N090W 10N090W 12N090W RAB UA770 NALDA UT21 CPE AXUDA UL207 IPSEV L207 SEAGL GILLL1" KIAH.

     

    I guess the NGX doesn't like to fly the W090, I lose LNAV from the second waypoint all the way till I get to RAB. After losing LNAV (the light is still active and illuminated) it will turn left until i manually correct it. Jump back on course and some time goes by and I lose LNAV again. It keeps happening unitel I get to RAB.  Anyone duplicate or have an answer? I imagine it has something to do with the aircraft IRS system. Would this happen in real world as well?
