  1. Hi All Sorry about that!!! It turns out that AFTER installing MS Flight there were additional files that did, indeed, require updating.....it just took a little LONGER for the updater to find them in my system. Several files and programs WERE updated and it turns out that there is NO problem at all. MS Flight and everything else is working perfectly. Even though I'm using XP Home SP3 I imagine this could possibly happen on Windows 7 as well. Just let the updater RUN IT'S COURSE until it say's that "there are no updates available".......in my case I noted that it was taking longer than usual so I stopped it to soon assuming there was a problem.......ASSUMPTION IS THE MOTHER OF ALL F-K UP'S!!!!!! LOL Radioguy1
  2. Hi All I installed Microsoft Flight this morning and to make a long story short.......I personally just don't care for it........even though it ran perfectly. I might add that I'm using XP Home with a 3.2 gb Pentium 4, a GT-240 card with 1GB of DDR-5 and 3gb of RAM. FSX and FS-9 run (and always have) perfectly as well....so obviously you really don't need a high end machine. So much for that. I went to try my Microsoft Updates and it kept looking and looking but NEVER stopped to tell me that there were no updates like it always does. THIS was a RED FLAG as far as I was concerned so I removed MS Flight and all is normal now. Maybe I'm just spoiled with the other sims (FSX and FS-9) but this just did'nt cut it for me. Be that as it may......CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR WINDOWS UPDATES ARE WORKING PROPERLY.....THATS A LOT MORE IMPORTANT! Even if there are NO updates it should stop SEARCHING and tell you that. Could it just be this particular machine?.....maybe.....but this computer has always run perfectly and I have NEVER seen that happen running Windows Updates. Just thought I'd mention it. Radioguy1
