  1. The SOLUTION for me was to set the priority of the FSX process to 'above normal' in Task Manager once FSX was running (Right Click on the process). No more greyed out windows when returning from outside views either! :-)
  2. The SOLUTION for me was to Set the priority of FSX to 'Above Normal' in TASK MANAGER once FSX was running (right click on the process). No more greyed out windows when returning from outside views either! I found that the 'realtime priority' messed with my sound and caused stuttering :-)
  3. Ahoy there! Just an update. I eventually cured the dinput8.dll error by unplugging a USB device that I had charging from the PC. It seems that the problem was related to a HID (Human Interface Device) error? I had no idea that by plugging a new USB device into the PC that it could throw up problems with the software! However EZDOK is back working now, although it still refuses to shut down properly, and throws the "EZDOK has encountered a problem and needs to close window" when I shut down FSX. Just thought this may help other users with the dinput8.dll error problem?
  4. Bad News everyone. My problems are back. I try starting FSX and during startup i get the Access Violation Error (See picture)Then the EZDOK has encountered a problem and needs to close window. I've tried a system restore, and several reboots but no go. Any help apprciated! I loved bouncing about my VC.HELP PLEASE Thanks!! I'm using Windows XP
  5. Excellent News me hearties!! I purchased EZDOK expecting it not to work(for the reasons given at the start of this thread). But no, in it went, and everything is just great!! I'm bouncing about the cockpit just as I hoped!! :Nerd:One thing tho'.... I presume the version I downloaded was 1.15. Is it worth me now upgrading to 1.17? And is there a cost involved?
  6. Thanks guys, I'll go ahead and get the latest EZDOK version. And see what happens? WATCH THIS SPACE!
  7. So if I go ahead and buy EZDOK from Flight1 and still get the 'dinput8.dll' error I can get my money right back?
  8. I'm very keen to buy the EZDOK. But don't want to fork out £25 if it's not going to work. I know I didn't actually buy the fsx originally as it was already installed, but it seems daft to delete a perfectly good program. :(
  9. I have done the uninstall thing now? But Ezdok universal world camera is still showing in custom views in FSX? It didn't work under Administrator either.
  10. Ahoy there! I have a situation that I'd like to get sorted.I have inherited a PC from someone. And it already has Flight Sim X installed, and appears to be quite a powerfull setup? Now, when I start Flight Sim X on this machine, an error box always appears called:Exdok camera addonAccess violation at address 6CE247CF in module 'dinput8.dll'. Write of address 672975AO (or similar)Then another box appears saying that EXCA for FSX has encountered a problem and needs to close. Now I'm no computer genius, so how can I stop that happening? And after googling EZDOK I think I'd like to have it with my Flight Sim X. But if I buy a new copy will it work? Seeing as there is obviously some sort of previous installation on this machine? Unfortunately the original owner of this computer has moved overseas so I can't ask him about it.So any help on1. How to remove EZCA totally from my PC ( I see a world camera reference in views?) and2. Should I buy a new copy, and will it work if there's a previous installation in here?Any help here much appreciated, but please don't be too technical with your repliesCapt G
