  1. I think I may have found some information. I had a crash this morning then attempted the flight again and had another crash. I will attach what my event viewer says. Application: utl_client.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. 2. Thanks for the response Jim. When it crashes there is not windows error report. The sim just dissapears out of nowhere. I deleted my scenery.cfg and rebuilt it. When it was rebuilding, is said there was an error with P3D stock Orlanda, Kennedy Space Center and Rockworth so I left them unloaded. I made sure ORBX and My FT sceneries were installed correctly in the correct order in the scenery library. There is no error with my computer, the build is about 8 months old. 6700K at 4.5ghz water cooled and stable. 16 gb ram, Dimms are installed correctly at the appropriate voltage and frequency. It is definitely a software issue. I will allow the p3d.cfg to rebuild along with the 2 dll.xmls and see what happens. I will also go through the CTD guide. Thanks again for taking the time to respond and explain some items. Should I look into this Lorby -SI addon organizer? Jordan
  3. Hi Jim, My 4.1 rarely crashes but when it does, it just disappears. It is always, absolutely always on the descent, never during any other phase of the flight. In the past few days I have flown from OMDB TO FACT FACT TO OMDB OMDB TO OLBA OLBA TO OMDB Not one issue. Last night I flew from OMDB to KIAH (FT OMDB to stock P3D KIAH). Right around FL220, the sim just disappeared. I wasnt touching anything, changing views etc etc. My UTLive traffic is set for ground traffic to be loaded at FL180. AS4 had the flights plan loaded. Pmdg 777-300ER Orbx everything GSX Fs2crew. The only thing I can think of is AS4 having an error but nothing was reported. Ideas?
  4. Good day, I just had the exact same issue coming into KIAH from OMDB PMDG 777. I have had it a few times while flying through Canada. I thought it could have been AS4 or UTlive, I kept them off for a while and it changed nothing. Exact same as you, on descent somewhere between FL200 and 250 then sim just disappears. I was on .net 4.6.2. As per your advice I downloaded 4.7.1 and I'm hoping this will stop the issue. Have you had any issues since? Thank you for taking the time to write this up.
  5. I was able to reproduce the same symptoms with Cowl flaps in any position including full open at any temp below 0c including -35c. I have been flying around the coast of Alaska and currently in NWT of Canada. I submitted a ticket to PMDG, they responded very quickly and said the issue has been resolved, it will be fixed on the next update although there is no date for it. Thank you PMDG! Thanks for starting this thread.
  6. Weren't very clear but I'll take your word. Anyways thank you for the reply on the Oil dilution.
  7. Better have a look above the fuel pump circuit breakers.
  8. Good day, I was just wondering if someone could confirm these 2 functions for the PMDG DC6 for P3D. I am well aware of how spark advance works from working on cars (spark ignition before TDC) etc. I couldn't find anything in the POH about when to use? If it is modeled? If I follow the oil dilution procedure before shutdown and then save the flight, will it aid in starting when I load up for the next flight or is this not modeled? Finally, is there a way to set it up every time I load a new DC6, it will automatically load in Cold and Dark? Instead of running. Thanks for the great product. Jordan
  9. I wonder if its an issue between AS16 and P3D now that you mention it? I normally load my p3d flight plan into AS16 prior to my flight. This wouldn't explain why the error is happening with the 737 but could be why the 777 is locking up the game. I will try a flight without AS16, then with AS16 but not inputting the flight plan into AS16 to see if there is an issue between the FMC updated the route and possibly causing a conflict with AS16. Thanks a lot Dan.
  10. I know the DC6 can't be compared to in terms of code but used the identical routes and weather to ensure it was not a graphical anomaly related to AS16 or ORBX.
  11. Good day, I recently began having issues with both the 737 and 777 completely locking up in P3D V4 whenever I would adjust the arrival section in the FMC before TOD. Normally when I input the navigational information for the flight into the FMC prior to pushback, I don't select the landing runway in the FMC until I am within 250nm of the arrival airport in case the winds have changed more than 90 degrees from when I takeoff. I tried 2 different flights with each aircraft to ensure that it wasn't a scenery, weather or terrain anomaly causing this lock up. All 4 times it locked up just after I had input the STAR and landing runway, within 5 minutes (sometimes 30 seconds, other times 2 minutes) the game would freeze with no other input or control presses. The sound of the engines would go in a very short loop leaving it sounding like someone was hitting the drums at 10 beats per second. The computer completely locks up, can't alt + tab or ctrl alt delete out of it, leaving the only option as a hard reset. I tried the same flight's with the DC6, no issue what so ever. Has anyone else ran into this? I did read a thread about double clicking the 2d FMC window but on the final 2 tests I did not open the 2d FMC in case this was the issue but the freeze still occurred. Wanted some opinions before I submit a ticket with PMDG My specs and addons are as followes 6700K with stable OC of 4.5ghz. 16GB 3000mhz Evga 1070 FTW Samsung 960 EVO OS + P3D (installed in C driver directly, no subfolders) Win 7 SP1 P3D V4 AS16 ORBX Global, Vector, HD trees, OpenLC NA, PNW, PFJ, SAK, NRM Rex Texture Direct + Soft Clouds for V4 UT Live Beta ( Same flights with no issues with DC6 should cancel out any issue with it being UTlive) Thank you,
  12. I did numerous tests over and over changing one setting at a time, following the exact same scenario. 16xCSAA looks exactly the same as 8xMSAA but uses 30% less gpu. 4xMSAA uses generally the same gpu on my setup. 8xMSAA had slight microsutters. 16xCSAA did not. Nvidia Inspector 16xCSAA (DX10 fixer with 4xsgss in NI) 1/2 refresh vsync FXAA off 16xAF FSX.cfg BP=0 and water 2xhigh 4096 textures Texture bandwidth 80 Disable preload=1 Internal fps = 30 Runs very smooth even with PMDG 777 at heavy airports. Looks great with DX10, couldn't be happier.
  13. Hi Steve, I tried to post this comment on your website yesterday but it didn't seem to go through. I have a couple of fsx.cfg questions for you. I have recently purchased your DX10fixer and I am very happy with it. When I was running DX9 in FSX SE, it ran very smooth between 22 and 30 fps with only affinity mask 14 and 4096 max texture in the fsx.cfg. Unlike the boxed version cfg, I wanted to keep SE cfg clean. With the pmdg 777/737, ASN, REX4 + Soft clouds, FTX Global it ran with steady fps and very smooth at all airports including heavy ones such as EGLL, CYYZ, JFK etc. Almost all sliders full right except water at 2x low and traffic off. Inspector at 8xSQ, 2xSGSS, in-game anisotropic, 1/2 resresh, 30fps internal lock. Dx10 looks absolutely great with your fixer, I just would like to know your thoughts about FTFF, buffer pools and nvidia inspector frame limiter. I used the NZF SIM manual to setup my inspector and cfg. They mention they run the FTFF between 0.12-0.22. I have read on most forums that this was mostly for single core machines and can cause stuttering in multi core machines. Do you run it? I was reading a thread on a avsim where you first mention that you don't even add the buffer pools line to the cfg, then you mention you did some testing and found that usepools=1 and threshold=1000 seemed to be the smoothest. Can you confirm which you recommend using? In the NZF manual they recommend running the inspector limiter and the internal limiter together. They say to use the inspector limiter at 30 and fsx limiter at 31. I have always used the fsx limiter at 30 and never bothered with the inspector limiter. What are your thoughts on this? My specs are I5-2500K@4.5ghz Evga 760SC Z68 mobo 8Gb corsair vengeance 240gb mushkin chronos deluxe ssd 23"LED@60hz Thank you
  14. Thanks for the replies everyone, does anyone know about the door location with the Jetways in FSX? So it will start using L1 instead of L2?Thanks
  15. Hi there,When I push Ctrl + J for the Jetway, it always goes to door 2L or 2R. That wasn't a problem in the past, but now that I have GSX from FSDT, it always asks for me to open 1L or 1R to load/unload pax.How can I switch the FSX jetway to go to 1L or 1R??Second question is the Widescreen "True" that the NGX intro tells you to do. Is it for any widescreen? I have a widescreen 23 inch LED, but some people are saying its for multiple monitors only? Thanks,Jordan
  16. Hi there,I have been silently browing Avsim for years and now I have some questions that other people haven't posted yet.I'm just wondering about the 4096 max tex load it suggests in the 737NGX intro, along with the wide view aspect. Will those reduce performance?I'm getting 20-30 fps with the NGX on my settings at 90% maxed and about 40-60 with the MD11. I do have a 23 inch wide screen and i'm wondering, what are the 4096 textures for? If its just for outer eye candy, I wont bother. I do all my flying from the VC anyways. Will the widescreen aspect benefit me from already have the game set to 1920/1080? Or is it more for multi monitors?Lastly, I can't find the MLW for the 744F. Im seeing 652-666000 lbs?Can anyone confirm? Thanks a lot,Edit.Specs arei5-2500k @3.7 (will go to 4.2 soon with new H80 cooler)8gb ram @ 1600 mhz500gb WD HDDEvga GTX275 896mb800 Watt P/S
