  1. Update - got it solved, just had to apply the latest patch, then do a quick workaround on another error the ORBX folks helped me with. Now that it is working I was almost shocked at how good this product is, the level of detail and terrain accuracy exceeded my expectations.
  2. Thanks for the replies, I am in contact with a support person from ORBX on the ORBX support forums, still haven't resolved, might need to come back here and keep working on it if I can't find a solution there.I am on Windows 7 - 64bit, Raedon 5800HD Card, I5 processor running at 3.2 Ghz, 4g ram.
  3. Hi All,Was inspired to come back to FSX after trying Flight, researched add on's and products since I was gone and was very enthused to find ORBX, purchased N. Rockies (where I live) but ran into install issues.1) The configuator on install and FTX Central after initial install run into errors that kill / hang the installation.2) have had some dialog with ORBX support but as of now, no solution.3) I have done a complete uninstall and reinstall of fsx followed by ORBX N. Rockies but get the same results, so have tried that step.4) Have deleted all .off files from the scenery library, which apparently has caused FTX central to error out for others, no luck with that.5) Here is where I am at. When installing from scratch, the "configuator" errors out at the end of the install. The ORBX files are all successfully copied and installed in a ORBX folder in the FSX directory, so I then close out and go to FTX Central to apply the N. American files installed, which should work, however that app. too errors out.The error is"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.could not find a part of the path 'C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Games Microsoft Flight Simulator"and under the "Exception Text" of the errorSystem.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XORBXScriptsBackupdefault.xml'. If I hit quit the app quits, if I hit continue, the app hangs. When I go back to FTX central after the hang, the NAmerican is applied and I can go to my scenery library and order FTX files on top. All good so far, however, when I fly in the N Rockies zone I can tell I have ORBX land class etc... and airport buildings, but I get absolutely no autogen scenery anywhere in the zone even with autogen maxed out. When I get out of the ORBX zone, autogen comes back.Is there a way to manually install or check the integrity of the installation without using FTX Central? Of course any ideas of how to fix this error would be greatly appreciated. (p.s. ORBX support sent me a fsx registry fix utility, which I ran successfully, but it didn't do anything to fix the error).Thank youMike
