  1. Andreas, welcome to PMDG info heaven. I hope you don't get discouraged, this is a wonderful group, with tons of knowledge and experience. You only need to press one autopilot button to activate the autopilot after take-off. The 747 has three to choose from. I read somewhere that the middle one is usually selected, so that is my usual choice. The other two will activate when selecting APR during the landing phase. Just one is needed for normal flight. Hope this helps and hope you have many happy hours with the Queen! Regards, Scott SInclair
  2. This sounded like a good work around for me, as I was having this issue as well. I unchecked the text options, loaded up the sim, selected the 747 QOTSII and I got a message that I needed to activate the product. I was a little surprised as I had already activated the 747 previously. I entered the activation code that appears on my PMDG order form both as cut and paste and also by typing in manually. I get an error code: "Activation library handle creation failed (50003,71000,10104)". The plane will load, but all the instruments are blacked out. Should I file a ticket on this issue? Scott Sinclair
  3. You can use the mouse wheel to click on the A/P engage point on the panel, ie the screw. Click once to disengage, you will get a klaxon, click again to turn off the klaxon. If you hover your mouse pointer over the screw, you will see there are three options. Check it out! Happy Flights! Scott Sinclair
  4. Bert, I just received my email for the GTN, installed it, and made my first flight with an ILS approach into KSJC. Worked like a dream, certainly better than the stock Carenado which crashed my sim twice. Thanks, so much, you just saved this plane from becoming a hangar queen!! Best regards, Scott Sinclair
  5. I was REALLY looking forward to this aircraft. I woke up this morning with full intention of adding it to my hangar. I read some of the negative comments, like most Carenado releases; went and flew my Turbine Duke and decided to buy the missing ORBX sceneries I needed. I KNOW they will be awesome! But the King Air really looks fun!!
