  1. No it didn't - it is showing massive spikes at all settings so I don't know how accurate it is. It is most accurate at 125, but when I tried 1000, the website was showing spikes to 3000 and above which shouldn't be happening.
  2. Shame that didn't help - I just tried and can straight away reproduce the same issue on my system if I change the polling rate (it is called Report Rate Per Second in the Logitech software) to anything other than 125.
  3. What mouse are you using? I remember something similar with large FPS drops when moving the mouse cursor within P3D and the only way to minimise it was to reduce the USB polling rate for the mouse. I had got a new Logitech gaming mouse which was using a 1000Hz polling rate and had to reduce it to 125Hz in the Logitech G.Hub software - any other setting would cause these FPS drops in P3D (but not in any other games). Just an idea 🙂
  4. I see something similar in terms of colouring - here's EGLL (Aerosoft): FTX Global Enabled FTX Global Disabled Real colour difference - OpenLC Europe is uninstalled in both cases.
  5. Thank you very much - much appreciated. I will dabble a little more and see if there is a happy median.
  6. I’d appreciate any assistance in setting these parameters if the system is thermally restricted and I can’t enable/disable HT - basically an iMac running Windows via Bootcamp. If I run AM at 65493 (and P3DCoreAffinityMask at the same), performance is good but the CPU throttles back and the only way to control that is either disable Turbo Boost (I7-10700k) or by limiting the Turbo Boost to around 4.0-4.2GHz rather than the 4.7GHz it usually boosts to. The thermal throttling is occurring on the scenery loading threads, so if I run the above, the throttling is happening on cores 4 to 7. I seem to be able to maintain higher clocks therefore by ‘disabling’ HT using an AM so which of the following makes more sense? 1. 11,11,11,11,11,11,11,11 = AffinityMask = 65535 01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01 = P3DCoreAffinityMask = 21845 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,01= MainThreadScheduler = 0 = core 0 00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00= RenderThreadScheduler = 1 = core 1 00,00,00,00,00,01,00,00= FrameWorkerThreadScheduler = 2 = core 2 2. 11,11,11,11,11,01,01,01 = AffinityMask = 65493 01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01 = P3DCoreAffinityMask = 21845 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,01= MainThreadScheduler = 0 = core 0 00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00= RenderThreadScheduler = 1 = core 1 00,00,00,00,00,01,00,00= FrameWorkerThreadScheduler = 2 = core 2 3. 01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01 = AffinityMask = 21845 01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01 = P3DCoreAffinityMask = 21845 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,01= MainThreadScheduler = 0 = core 0 00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00= RenderThreadScheduler = 1 = core 1 00,00,00,00,00,01,00,00= FrameWorkerThreadScheduler = 2 = core 2 Thanks.
  7. It was that Alpha version they put out a week or so ago. What I did notice is that everything which was using Simconnect was stuttering, pausing and then eventually disconnecting - the behaviour with the PFD hitching and pausing continued even after I shut down all add-ons which were running (ASP3D, ASCA, REX Skyforce, ProATC-X and BAV Merlin which is the ACARS for the VA I am a member of). It only started, I would say from the top of my head, about 45 mins into the flight and everything had been normal up till then. Also, didn't have any issues on the outbound but I do think it was REX. I've uninstalled it now but that was the only thing which changed on my end and I have never had any such issues prior to that. I haven't had the opportunity to test the same flight again since but I will be doing so.
  8. Thanks - appreciate it. The above suggests that the combo (FTX Global. Open LC and UTX will work together).
  9. @Ray Proudfoot Very interesting post - Can I check sir, are you also using FTX Open LC in conjunction with FTX Global, FS Global Ultimate and Ultimate Terrain X, or is it just just FTX Global and FS Global Ultimate? I understand that Ultimate Terrain X can be used instead of Orbx Vector and I am eligible to 50% off because of owning v1 of Ultimate Terrain X so was wondering if it was worth mixing the Orbx FTX Global, Open LC and Ultimate Terrain X. Thanks!
  10. I installed REX SkyForce recently, running in conjunction with ASCA and Envtex. I did a flight from EGLL to LEMD in the FSL A320 - no issue at all, but on the return (next day, sim started from scratch) route, after about 45 mins and flying over France, I noticed continuous pausing on the PFD repeatedly like the whole sim was pausing - FPS was dropping from 30 to 1 and other stuff running was losing connection to Simconnect - for example, the ACARS for the VA I am part of just disconnected from the sim - same with anything else using Simconnect. I've never had any such issue until installing REX SkyForce so I've uninstalled it to see if that resolves it.
  11. Yes, on AMD we are kind of limited and so it is either the internal limiter or Radeon Chill where you set a minimum and maximum FPS. Thanks for the very helpful explanation.
  12. Interesting - thanks. I seem to see this however I limit frames. At first I thought maybe my system couldn't maintain the say 30 fps, but it does it wherever I limit them - say even at 20 fps or 24 fps.
  13. Is the fps wobble to be expected in this scenario? I see this any time I try to apply a FPS limit outside P3D (I am on and AMD GPU, not nVIDIA).
  14. I think in terms of driver level, it is only Radeon Chill - Frame Rate Target Control doesn't work with P3D unfortunately. If it did, that would be great because it allows lower than 30FPS if you were so inclined.
  15. If this is linked to AI, that is interesting because I have all traffic turned off and don't have any AI (such as AIG) currently installed.
