The A320 by FSLabs is the best rendition of the Airbus out there, some would argue it's the most comprehensive add on ever made, and I'd agree with them. I would not hesitate in purchasing it and I didn't. You will get many happy hours flying it.
On a side note...
I have seen some commentary in 'news' items on YouTube by content creators calling the price 'jaw dropping' which is irresponsible. So just to qualify that statement let's do some comparisons, and please don't misinterpret me, I regard all PMDG products as best in class for their aircraft, no doubt about it... but I want to say this because it has annoyed me and it needs mentioning. As a company I would also be careful of bias, even positive bias like this, as it has the capacity to alienate and be counter productive.
So.....
If you want a PMDG license for the NGX base package in FSX and P3D it will cost $160 (and let's not forget this was 5 years ago). Can someone therefore explain to me why when I got the bus for FSX and P3D, for the price tag of $140 it's now described quite seriously as a "jaw dropping" price? And let's not forget, for that I also get an MCDU I can use on my iPad via web app. I mean... Seriously?!
I'm not saying the NGX isn't great, and the 777 for that matter.. I love both and happily paid the money for them, PMDG do a great job. And I don't doubt for a second the 747 will be great, but in this video conveniently pricing was glossed over, strangely... But we know from PMDG pricing for the 747 will be 'inline with the 777', and this for FSX and P3D base package licenses its $225, obviously not jaw dropping enough. Even if, you bought the bus full price FSX and P3D it is $240, that's comparing a highly detailed study level add on released 2016/2017 with a price from 2013... how is one called out and the other glossed over?
My message to this content creator is simple, many people watch your content and you have a responsibility to be even handed. If you want to call the A320 price jaw dropping, I expect an even hand and the NGX, 777 and 747 (assuming it inline with the 777) pricing to be described in the same manner, if you are not prepared to do that, out of loyalty, or for whatever reason, then please do not comment at all on price. It's misleading, deliberate or not. What has been said is inflammatory, and completely unjustified, and has certainly made me question whether or not I will be watching more of their content.
Anyway, if you can afford it, get the bus... It's great..
Cheers
Craig
I understand your logic, BUT doesn't apply to P3D users only. I have PMDG, etc. So those prices you compare are half for me. Your logic only works if you get and use both license. (fsx,p3d). So coming from the 80 or 90 price tag to 140 for me to use on p3d is a big jump.

I for one am glad ORBX backed out. You have to figure we get some nice freeware airports now. And we get some nice payware as well at a decent cost. 20 bucks usually for some nice airports. If ORBX comes along, they will be more expensive which means all the others will be raising their prices some too. So although we may get a nice scene here or there from them, in the long run, what we loved about XP and the openess and freeware, etc. I think xp scenery is working fine without them. Just mho. (as in MY opinion. So no need to bash my opinion.

On bright side, it was only 12 bucks to upgrade.
On the not so bright side. Very clumsey interface. Also. my copy (not sure if all experience this) has menu's staying on the screen. gotta close it and reopen to see things again. Not sure if this is bug for all or not.
ALSO. why can't we load in old profiles at least for what it can handle. To start setting up all the profiles again will be a bummer. And the speed even boosted seems so slow to move and set them up.
I was very hopeful that this was going to be nicer than it is. I assume it was released a little premature to keep up with chase plane. To me, that hurts ezdok2. Basically, i'll probably go with chaseplane being it's only in beta but seems ahead of this. AND easier to setup profiles, etc. AND it even lets you use ezdok 1 profiles. Seems ezdok 2 would do that but i couldn't find a way.
If you have chaseplane now, i wouldn't even bother with upgrade to this yet. maybe after some things get worked out a bit and less clunky, etc.

Someone could sum up that I was a fish, but that doesn't mean I would agree.
True that. But i'm not asking you to agree with me. I'm just posting my opinion.
I also think that in the end everyone wants photoreal all over the world. But with accurately places buildings, of course. In that regard AFS2 has taken the right starting point. It will indeed probably take years and ears but one day (hopefully during my lifetime) we will get there. (In the far away future we probably will get LIVE world scenery in our (VR) sims! )
I was also surprised by Orbx's announcement. Never ever saw that coming.
I have to agree with what HiFlyer and simmerhead said here, although I have to admit I also used the word 'game' in regard to AFS2. In the end they are all games but in the end they are all also simulators. AFS2 isn't the deepest sim but it certainly simulates flight! Using the word 'game' for AFS2, like I did, is in fact a bit arrogant and patronizing (don't know the right English word for it but I hope you get what I mean). My biggest problem with AFS2 right now is the lack of 3D objects in way too many places (even the detailed places) but that of course doesn't make it a game. As can be read here and as can also be heard in the video that HiFlyer posted (from a guy who probably never ever saw photoreal scenery before...?!) more then enough people absolutely love the AFS2 scenery! But those are details and subjective preferences and none of those make something either a sim or a game. And neither the fact that certain knobs aren't working does it make a game. It makes it a 'lighter' or 'more simple' sim but it still is a sim. And I will from now on call it that.
Those words are fine with me as well. Both Sims. 1 detailed and 1 'simple'. Same point, just different wording.

In Short, you can sum it up as P3D and XP and FSX are Simulators whereas Aerofly 2 is a game!

ya poor sole. 39. your just a kid. most of us guys started out on fs 1 doing those mail runs. And what we have today is progress compared to those days. trust me.

I also agree. xEnviro is a sign of awesomeness. Is it perfect, no. BUT it's only version 1. And it already blows away competition. So imagine what it will be when it reaches version 1.1 etc.

agreed. and it requires alaska region as well. I it was your home airport that you fly out of in real life, i could see justifying this cost, BUT seriously you fly a few times and usually move on to other stuff. I don't know anyone that gets one of these and flies for weeks there, nope. usually load it and fly a few circuits or maybe take off FROM there and then your off to other stuff. So not worth that price to me. I emphasize to me being i know some of you will try to argue my point. This is just that... my point of view.... not trying to argue with those that justify the price to themselves.

Just Curious, Are most of the sales in Colorado and Washington???

For $15 and a good flying experience ... its going to bring more people into flightsimming and grow the customer base.Exactly. The more that gets into our hobby, the more nicer products that will come out of it in the future.

I'm going to look at this in a simple way.
We all have vast amounts of money invested in our hobby. And i could understand all this debating going on when P3D was coming out being it was 200 bucks. (unless your the lifer students that we all see around here). But come on people, we are talking 15 bucks here. I think if we simply worked the amount of time we're debating it, we would make triple that.
Seriously, i'll throw away my 15 bucks to check it out. I figure i've thrown that away on airports that i never fly to anymore. or planes i never fly anymore. We all have those i'm sure.

once you get in, if you go with first server, it goes pretty quick. i downloaded the 4.5 gig in about 45 minutes.
now to install and hope for the best.

First off. Longranger?? Whatever??/ You probably don't like pictures of puppies either.
anways, i'm 40 minutes from this airport and can say it looks great. I have latinVFR's version but i think this one may be topping that one out. Especially since it's X-Plane.

KTNT is also mine. I love the large runway for getting familiar with a plane. Nice taxi route as well with a few turns. Great on framerates so you can really fly the plane at this location. AND about an hour from my home. :) Forgot to mention a nice 9/27 runway. So easy to do patterns. Less thinking. ;)
