  1. I've had my time with Vista and all its errors (including this one with FSX), I'm picking up a copy of Windows 7 later this week (about time) and going to reformat running Windows 7, see you on the otherside.
  2. I just tuned my system for Vista by following the website you sent me and I re-installed Microsoft Visuals C++ Redistributables 2010, and I still cannot start my game up. I found the error in Event Viewer, here it is; Faulting application fsx.exe, version 10.0.61355.0, time stamp 0x4643ee0a, faulting module ui.dll, version 10.0.61355.0, time stamp 0x4643f2aa, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0003c983, process id 0xffc, application start time 0x01cd2b04106b92d8. and fsx.exe 10.0.61355.0 4643ee0a ui.dll 10.0.61355.0 4643f2aa c0000005 0003c983 ffc 01cd2b04106b92d8 Thanks, Connor UPDATE!: I completely unistalled my game, will install another time and hopefully I don't have these errors
  3. Hey guys, I'm new here and I think this might be the right area to post this, if not may a moderator please move it to the right area, sorry! but I have been playing FSX for about 5 years now. A few weeks ago, I decided to start playing FSX again and it would freeze up and crash, nothing fixed these crashes so I uninstalled the game, completely removing everything to do with FSX from my computer. I installed it again and now I can't even start the game! As soon as I try and run FSX it starts up, doesn't even load to the menu before it crashes due to a "Fatal error". This is really frusterating me because it is one of my favourite games and I've done literally everything I can think of to fix it and it is just not working. I have run FSX for 2 years on this computer and it worked fine, no crashes or anything. This just started happening last week ago when I started playing again. System Specs: q6600 quad core 2.4ghz nvidia geforce 9800gtx Windows Vista HP 64bit 8gb ram Things I've tried: - I've tried the "UIAutomation.dll fix", apparently it fixes this problem for most users on Windows 7 64bit and for some users on Vista 64bit - Complete re-install of FSX and addons - Updated lastest DirectX and nvidia drivers - Downloaded and install both SP1 and SP2 packs for FSX If you need anymore information about this problem please ask, hopefully some of you guys/girls know how to fix this issue, Thanks, Connor.
