  1. The updates were somewhat "soft" as we were troubleshooting in the support queue at the same time. The main issue - the COEXISTENCE FAILURE - was the main purpose of updating these installers. Since the OC isn't technically the 777, the version number shouldn't have incremented. Granted, it should've probably incremented for the model updates, but I think that just got lost in the craziness that was addressing everyone's install concerns.

oh alright, this clarifies where you are standing now. I just stepped back now to read the [02JAN16] COEXISTENCE FAILURE - Update 2 topic carefully and it technically stated what you have just explained. it seems that the forum created that kind of chaos because we always know where PMDG is standing in the terms of your updates by frequently providing information.

    thanks kyle

  2. It does appear that the windows have been fixed, except the windows on the L3, R3 doors (777-200LR only) are still not transparent, not a show stopper though...

Might be that they need to update the livery.

i second this. it seems that the 777-200LR has non transparent L3 and R3 doors. i would like to see more of official statements regarding this issue because we download this installers every couple of days under the same version. I understand that you might have not reached the final version but could we please have a word.

  3. For FSX users: Are the Cabin Windows transparent, now? Can you see the interior of the cabin from the outside view? After the first Update, the cabin windows were not transparent. Maybe this issue was fixed with the last updated installer?! Can someone confirm this?

as far as i know i believe that it is an issue that PMDG are digging through now, i saw somewhere here in the forum that the windows are not transparent  in the latest version and we expect a newer one on the way

  4. I always like to sim routes that are available in real life and the ones operated by the LR as it is the variant we currently have. At the moment i am really enjoying PK721 which is a flight from karachi to JFK with 2 stops at lahore and manchester. OPKC-OPLA-EGCC-KJFK. A tremendous flight with an experience of flying across asia, europe and the americas. You shall try it!

  5. A picture paints a thousand words (and avoids ambiguity as has been seen on another thread!!!!)

So: Here you go, from the Fcom.

the final intercept course is the LSK6R, it WILL drop all waypoints from your current position to that waypoint and give you an automatic extended centreline. Use it when in HDG SEL. Enjoy. Achieved with a single button press and execute.

YES,  you are certainly right, it is really faster!!

    thank you

  6. Don't forget that when you perform the DIR INTC you must enter an Inbound Course (INB CRS) at LSK 6R BEFORE you EXEC any changes.

    INBD CRS entered into SCRATCHPAD:

INBD CRS copied to LSK 6R:

    EXEC button pressed:

    Finally....

In theory you could intercept this extended centreline using LNAV well beyond the range of the associated ground based Localiser Transmitter (IRL ranges vary):

Using HDG SEL & ALT HOLD to intercept the ILS these are lower modes/levels of automation than say LNAV & VNAV.

Note that VNAV is still displaying PTH info on the right side of the ND because the APP WPT we selected had an associated ALT entry on the LEGs Page:

    I LOVE YOU!!

THIS IS EVEN EXPLAINED BETTER THAN MY MATHS TEACHER

    THANK YOU SO MUC
