I kind of pride myself on figuring things out on my own. Having taken physics, calculus, and computer programing in college, I sort of figure I can debug most problems. However; I am really stumped on this particular issue. I've watched Utube videos, read the tutorial #1 on the pmdg 737-800 ngx and read numerous postings on forums including this one, and still my 737-800 ngx will not properly line up with the runway at KBOS 15R. The plane keeps coming in from an angle, right to left, and sets down slightly to the left of the runway. I've been simming for awhile and have flown on Vatsim a couple of times so I'm not exacly a newbie at this, but I have recently purchased the 737-800 ngx, and don't plan on purchasing the manuals.
I set both nav1 and nav2 frequencies to 110.7 and make sure to transfer to active.
I set the HGS
PRI
Alll ARM
Elevation 14 ft.
Runway length 10083 ft.
I then hit enter
Upon approach I turn on APU
Make sure spoiler is armed
Two miles before the localizer I push the vor loc
After the lnav light goes out I push the app button and then the cmd button so that both cmd buttons are lit
I have airac 1303 installed in the FMC from navgraph, and here are the settings I have in the FMC concerning auto land.
GS capture before loc - deny
HGS installed - yes
HGS auto Alll mode - yes
HGS GS ref line in PRI - on
Auto Land - Fail op
set fsx loc crs - on
Realistic ap engagement - on
Not sure what the two next to the last ones are.
I think that pretty much sums it up. I would extremely grateful for a little assist here. I know that it must be something glaringly simple, but I can't figure out what.
Thanks in advance
