So this is the thing: I would like to fly online, but I prefer to use the default FS airport sceneries. One of the reasons for this is I don't want the AI traffic to be taxiing on grass when I fly offline (since the default airport taxiway arrangements usually don't match with the add-ons), plus some sceneries are not very fps-friendly. Also, I don't wish to be downloading and installing new airports whenever I want to fly. Last time I flew on VATSIM was a few years ago. I started off in Belgrade and I had no add-on scenery (although they had made a pretty good one for LYBE); and when I asked for clearance the controller said I wasn't parked at the gate I said I was and asked me to park at the right one. I know VATSIM is all about realism, but it would be so much easier if I could just leave the default sceneries. So would this be a problem? Thanks in advance.

First, I don't understand how to install the FSBuild aircraft performance profiles! It says in the readme I should copy some text into the fsb_aircraft.cfg file - but I can't find that file! Where is it? Also, I can't find the FSBuild\aircraft directory where I'm supposed to copy some .prf files, according to the readme. So can someone tell me how to install this? Second, Is there a way to get the weather radar to work? Should I download a separate weather radar file and then install it into the panel, or what? If you could just give me some directions, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hm... Sounds like something I already would have tried. But I'll try again. And what about the CMD/CWS switches? Do I just leave the CMD A switch on?

I am using the 737NG 600/700. So here's my question. Is there a way to use the autopilot independent from the FMC? Or to clarify: I have set up the FMC and configured the MCP panel; I took off, engaged the autopilot, LNAV, VNAV etc. and everything is going great. But perhaps in flight I want to say, okay - I want to hold this altitude, this heading, this vertical speed etc. Independent from the FMC. So basically, I want to fly as if there is no FMC, but I want to use the autopilot! How am I supposed to set up the MCP panel for this to happen? I've been looking all over the web for an answer but couldn't find it. Hope you understand my question. Please help.
