Hi. I'm new to FSX and have just upgraded from a high-end CRT monitor to an IPS LCD monitor. It has some advantages (I love the wide screen ratio) but also some big disadvantages including lower 60HZ limit and slight motion blur.
One thing I've changed recently that has improved FSX Virtual Cockpit performance with the LCD screen is added this command to the fsx.CFG.
Under [GRAPHICS] (not DISPLAY) add this line: ForceFullScreenVSync=1 (make sure it's a "1" and not "True")
I am running with VSYNC set to 'Adaptive (half refreash rate)' set in Nvidia control panel and my FPS set at 30 in FSX and everything seems pretty good now.
Without the above command I was still getting a TEARING effect when panning around in the VC. This could sort of be considered a blurring effect to some people.
This was also weird considering I had either VSYNC or Adaptive VSYNC selected which is supposed to eliminate Tearing.
Worth a try.
