  1. Just ran into this exact issue and why is it mandatory to install the latest and now it does not run at all, paid for RealTraffic and it does not work without this. I do not have a D:\Projects\Data folder, so what I did to get this to work, copy the data folder from your install (just search for airports_msfs.xml) and copy that folder (luckily I already had a D Drive, you may not or would have to do a Windows workaround by subst windows command, look it up) and made a Projects/data folder there. PSXT runs normally then. Waiting for the developers fix. Hope this helps in the meantime.
  2. What is relevant is whether you purchased the Store version or the Steam version. For the most part the Store version is hidden on whatever drive you installed the sim to in a locked WindowsApp folder that only TrustedInstaller has permission or owner to. If you try to take ownership of that folder you could and probably will break something in it. On the Alpha and Beta team builds Microsoft and Asobo only installed the WindowsApp folder on the C drive. Now with the release version they are putting symbolic links on the C drive to whatever drive you have installed the sim. But again that is all irrelevant because sometimes with the right amount of holding your tongue the right way you can see the Store version EXE file that is 251.21 mb in size but good luck doing anything with it. I have not tested fully yet but it may appear that you can point whatever app you need to the C:\users\username\appdata\local\microsoft\windowsapps folder where the filesize for FlightSimulator, exe is 0 bytes and it may recognize it, but for the most part I use FSUIPC (paid version, always have for Dowsen's app) to launch the sim anyway. When I get a URL for the screenshots I have I will upload them. That WpSystem location will get you to the localstate, localcache and other folders and files for the configs. Can someone say what a bloody mess all this is, my recommendation purchase the Steam version.
  3. That file is 0 bytes in size in my AppData and will "The file cannot be accessed by the system." error when trying to execute. Again just my system but it can't be much different from others.
  4. For the OneStore (Windows Store App) version: C:\Program Files\WindowsApp\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.10.11.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe FlgihtSimulator.exe 251.21MB Administrator does not have access, only TrustedInstaller and there are many articles on the web about how to take ownership, BUT - I have done that in the past and yes it will break some Windows Store apps to where it will take a re-install of Windows to correct. Not sure why Microsoft is so protective of this app when the Steam version allows you to find the EXE. I would upload a screenshot but I don't know (May share a link in the future if I find time). Anyway I do have a screenshot and have found that if you run FreeCommander XE as administrator you can see the file but you cannot do anything with it including copying it out. Also I have the donation version of FreeCommander XE so the free version may be different. But again WARNING, I would not mess around with it there. Have found no need myself but was just curious. As you can ping the Flight Simulator shortcut to the Start menu or Taskbar. My 2 cents. MFS - FlightSimulator - - Seems the link does not work for me to the screenshot (guess avsim does not like it) Netguru
  5. Maarten, I can only say a few words, Pure Genius, Please keep up the awesome programming. Indespensible FSX and Prepar3D utility. One small immediate request, please find a way to tell if someone has donated so the "Please Donate" placard does not appear, pretty please. netguru
