  1. "Is your problem at both KOAK and KORD?" Yes, the problem is at both KOAK and KORD. If there are other airports that have added runways since FSX was released, I can try one of those to see if I get the same error. I know the runways listed on the errors don't exist in my sim. However, I added KORD scenery (fsx_kord_rs.zip) that added the new runways, deleted the arpt_rnw.dat file, tried again and got the same error. "Which solution did you try?" I deleted the arpt_rnw.dat file and restarted the sim. The file did rebuild with a different file size, but the errors still exist. "Is the problem with the 747 or only the NGX?" The problem is with both. It sounds like it may be the navdata file. I have never updated it and don't really know how to do it. I'm a better pilot than I am a computer tech.
  2. I just tried the above fix and it did not work. I have a similar error notification for runway 10L at KOAK. I suppose the NGX uses the same data because I get the same errors on it also. I tried adding new scenery at KORD that has the new runway configurations, but that didn't help either. It's not a big deal since I can land without it, but if anyone has any other things to try I would appreciate it!
  3. From what I've experienced, the operations are automatically different. The caterers don't show up and there are extra cargo vehicles on cargo planes.
  4. Okay, I tried this today and it will work for me. After I parked and got everything shut down, I sped up the simulation to 2x through the FMC. This made the process only take 30 minutes and you couldn't really tell it was sped up except for the flashing lights on the vehicles. At normal speed, the vehicles move slower than real life anyway. Thanks everyone for the comments and thank you PMDG for a wonderful plane.
  5. Me too. I do have rudder pedals with toe brakes, but I can land and taxi to parking without overheating, so they shouldn't overheat on takeoff...right?
  6. I experience this exact thing nearly every time after setting the parking brake. Not exactly at the same time, but after a flight and after the ac is stopped. More than once it was engines 1 & 2 and once it was all but #1. Weird...
  7. I love the automatic ground services, but I can't figure out how to make the duration shorter than one hour. The "short" setting is one hour, so I thought "custom" would allow something less. I love it, but not enough to watch it for an hour. I'm thinking 15 minutes or so. Does anyone know the scratchpad entry for 15 minutes? Richard McPherson
