  1. Greetings! Sorry, I do not check in at these forums often, so I did not see your reply to my thread. I bounce around between many different flight simulation programs, FSX, DCS A-10C, IL-2 Sturmovivk: Cliffs of Dover, Falcon BMS, etc. and haven't been back to FSX for awhile. Thanks for the PM! I did these files a long time ago, but did find a link to them in my MediaFire account: http://www.mediafire...es_FSF_v1.0.zip It looks like I even did a "readme" file to explain the skin install! I hope everything is there that you need! Cheers! Mark
  2. Yes, I used FS Record....I first slewed the aircraft to a point on runway I could identify, recorded. Opened next aircraft variant with next skin on it, slewed to the spot next to the other airplane, etc. I think I paused the sim to then take screenshots. Thanks for the compliments. It was a first shot at skinning in FSX.
  3. As a follow up, here are the skins I created: Beechcraft King Air C90B Group Photo I think this one still need some accents. The sharks teeth are from "Ropey" skin.
  4. SOLVED! Sorry, I DID do something really stupid, like I thought. Was missing the Specular files!! I thought they were just additional template files provided by the manufacturer, LOL.
  5. I have created several repaints for the C90B, but am having an issue when I create them as variants of the plane. For my initial repainting, I simply made a backup of original files then replaced the 7 files (CNA_1.bmp to CNA_7.bmp) within one of the original variate texture folders (i.e. replaced the files within the "Texture.Silverblue" folder). This worked great, as seen here: I then went to create new variants, by editing the aircraft.cfg file and adding new [fltsim.#] entries, etc. The last default variant is [fltsim.6], so I created a [fltsim.7] and properly named the variant to go to the correct newly created texture folder. Everything in the new folder was copied from the original variants with the exception of the replaced .bmp files. But I get this result when aircraft is loaded: The alpha channel is showing the FSX logo, I assume it is a "lost" path somewhere? This does not appear to have anything to do with the repaint files I created. It worked when the new repaint files were replaced within existing variant folders. I also copied an existing paint scheme into a newly created variant, and the stock paint shows the same FSX logo. Something with the path to new variants is not working. Do I need to edit some other .cfg files? Any ideas? Thanks.
