  1. Thanks for the replies. I have tried what has been suggested above. But still get the MsMXL missing error. Repairing and reinstalling the program has not fixed it even after cleaning out the registry etc. If anyone has any other ideas I'd be grateful. Thanks
  2. I hope this is the right forum for this, apologies if it's not. I recently went on a commerical 737 simulator experience and as I enjoyed it was advised to get FSX and the PMDG 737 ngx 800. I bought a brand new copy of FSX Gold off amazon, it arrived sealed and is a genuine MS product. After installing it I have been unable to run FSX as I always get an error - The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed, please re-install FSX to repair this error. Having searched the net and this site I am aware that this is an old error and that there are various suggested solutions. I have tried to install various versions of MSXML direct and various security updates for it from Microsoft's website all to no avail. I have also tried installing the version from Disc 2 of the program however it still does not work and when running regsvr32 I get a message to say that the module MSXML4. may not be compatible with this version of Windows.(I am using windows 7 home premium 64bit). I have tried amending the cab file as discussed on other sites but this did not work Having spent more than 3 days trying everything I could find on the internet to solve this I am reaching the point where I may have to give up on FSX despite the fact that I really would like to have a go with it. If anyone can suggest something that I have not tried, or perhaps point me in the direction a a version of MSXML4 that they have got working with Windows 7 home premium I would be very grateful.
