fltsim.n. the n needs to be changed to the next number after the number of the livery above it.

Also need to change panel=s177 to another panel entry as this pack was for the old fsx version that had an fms, (panel=wx or panel=s77 is a valid option I believe) or simply copy what is from the livery above this one.

You can quit downloading at any point and restart if it's hung it will resume download and not make you  do it again.

If you have an X4 M.2 then you loose SATA 0 through 3. Probably because to get the PCIE lanes it needs to shut off that SATA controller.

Have to move the cables to SATA3_4 and SATA 3_5

Not lecturing anyone at all. There are a few threads that were saying NDA is lifted etc...but it's not. 

If you have watermarks on your screen while playing CB it means you are still under NDA. Journalist that MS have allowed to post articles and content are allowed but everyone else is still under the NDA...

Just a friendly reminder

If you signed the NDA then you'd be a fool to post anything without receiving 100% confirmation that it's lifted. Especially if you ever intend to test a product for that company or any other in the future.

Enhanced atmospherics definitely changes the look of the sun but I think it will not look much different until that part isn't beta and they have it sorted.

TBH I would pull your existing memory and put in 32GB. 16GB is Recommended. You can get a 32GB kit off newegg for around $115. 

All this fantastic new scenery it would be a shame not to have helicopters. Here's hoping.

I'm not so sure MS would like to give Gabe that high % of profit off their game and still charge the same price.  If someone wants it they will still buy regardless of steam or not. FS has been around longer than steam....

Wondering why helicopters are totally absent from MSFS2020.  Even if you get the premium edition not one to be found in all 30 vehicles you get....bummer. 

It's just 2 - 6 pin connectors. As long as your PSU can handle the amp draw it's ok( rumored only on Nvidia Founders edition cards BTW). Not only that other manufacturers such as Asus aren't using that config. Rumor has it the Titan version will be using 300 watts but I doubt many here will be spending 2k on a GPU....

Have you tried using a different time server?

AFAIK scenery texture resolution has always been independent of the aircraft resolution ( IE setting to 7cm texture resolution in world settings) I thought VC will always render at highest res available unless you limit it in display settings. seems like the settings for V5 are similar to the other versions....

Not so sure SLI works with DX12 in P3DV5 unless it is coded to support mGPU (DX12 is a different beast has to be implicitly coded to work vs older DX versions where it happens in the driver)

Turn off hibernation it wil net you however much ram you have back. In my case 32gb on a ssd isnt bad

Even though P3D is multi threaded it's using at most 4-6 threads - with the main thread core usually at 100%. That being said the more cores you have the lower your amalgamated core usage % will drop because the other cores are not being used that much and they are figured into that overall CPU usage.

Sounds like you may not have them installed properly or maybe try you could try the .xml addon method for them. (Instructions are in the included PDF file)

Edit: you can paste this to an add-on.xml file so you don't have to try typing it per the.PDF

I'm pretty sure that the system memory is only acting as a buffer in this case, unless you have the 8GB 980M chip you will still be limited to 4 GB video memory with some being reserved for Windows ( thus only showing 3.4 GB available)

I think the "shared memory" is probably restricted to the Intel® HD Graphics 4600 built into your processor, not the graphics card.

Edit: Nvidia did have a 980M with 8GB, so you may find a used one out there... up your system memory to the max 32GB would also help if you're not looking to replace the laptop yet.

The scenery author needs to put that info in the AFCAD I believe. Either contact the developer or get an afcad editing program and put in the correct info.

Hard to judge a product release when they are 10+ years apart with 10 years of inflation unless you just look at how many they sold and compare that way. PMDG has substantially increased the price of their addons over the course of this time? 

If you have hibernation enabled you could just hibernate your PC or put it to sleep and the settings and programs that you had will be intact when the PC is turned back on. Not ideal I know but it will work.
