Solutions

  1. Fonzzy's post in 737 Left engine failure was marked as the answer
Hello Ben, I had the problem happen to me a few weeks ago, I too was following a checklist (Not from FCOM, User made downloaded from the internet) When I did a cold and dark start-up, everything went well until engine start. The number two engine would always spool up correctly but engine number one would not do the same. (N2 wasn't even spinning) I then knew that this was a problem that had something to do with the air circulation panel meaning a switch was not in the correct position. I then referred to the 737 FCOM provided by PMDG and I found out that despite downloading the checklist and following it, I did not put the Isolation Valve Switch (Located in between the packs switches)to the Auto position. This solved my problem and I hope it helps you too If that doesn't work, Then try follow the checklist in the FCOM PRECISELY  and in the correct order it is listed. If that does not solve your problem, then I would suggest re-installing your copy of the 737 NGX.
    Cheers
    -Daniel
