To install UTX, or not? Advice.......
As I explained previously, I have uninstalled FSX and have no intention to re-installing it to prove a point. I have a right to express my opinion. You don't have to agree with it. The last bit being uncalled for? How would you describe the use of language such as "..spreading false information..." or "...doing a disservice..."?

To install UTX, or not? Advice.......
Your opinion versus my opinion. This is what I love about the internet. You come across all kinds of varied people. I offered my opinion to the OP. The OP can choose whether to accept it or not. As far as you are concerned, I think you are taking this a little bit too seriously, and maybe you should get out more. Meet some real people.

To install UTX, or not? Advice.......
Why would I waste my time? I no longer have FSX on my hard drive and I am not going to install it just to create some screen shots. I have my opinion, you have yours. I am going to enjoy a flight in P3D. The OP asked a specific question regarding UTX and GEX. I suggest we let the thread return to that.

To install UTX, or not? Advice.......
Pretty much all of it is superior to the default FSX. The built-up areas especially. Night lighting is improved also. I own both, and made certain comparisons. FSX lost big time, and has now been completely uninstalled. I've never used UTX for VFR, so can't comment. I tend to favour Megascenery X for VFR flying.

To install UTX, or not? Advice.......
Having recently switched from FSX to P3D, the P3D default scenery in the US areas is definitely superior to FSX. The texture resolution in P3D can now handle 4096 x 4096 textures. The improvement is not only in terms of visual appeal, but performance also. I did install UTX USA and GEX, but removed them both because they looked worse. Performance remains better than FSX, even with REX Essential + Overdrive and Radar Contact running.

Running Radar Contact in Prepa3d
Thank you both. Everything is running fine. I have just flown a trial flight with Flight Sim Commander 9, REX Essential and Radar Contact running fine. The immersion is incredible, and the learning curve seemingly steep. Ronzie, I am running Win 7 64-bit. After some fun an games previously with FSC, I avoid the Program Files folder like the plague. Everything is up to date. Again, thanks to all for the advice. Now back to those manuals. Regards, Tom.

Running Radar Contact in Prepa3d
Revporl / Ray, Thanks for the replies. Actually, before you replied, I tried to install it, but got a couple of errors relating to FSX files which couldn't be found. I uninstalled it and used the Estonia FSX to P3D Migration Tool, and everything installed fine (I think). I also have the latest version of FSUIPC, and will buy the registered version sooner rather than later. I'm just waiting for my Radar Contact registration key to arrive, then I can really try it out. Can't wait.

Excellent, thanks. Do I need to use the migration tool, or do I just install it as designed?

Running Radar Contact in Prepa3d
Hi, I am seriously considering buying Radar Contact and the registered version of FSUIPC. I only use Lockheed Martin's Prepar3d version 1.4, and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the latest version of Radar Contact works with it. If so, do I need to use Flight Sim Estonia's FSX to P3D Migration Tool (which I have already)? I no longer have FSX on my hard drive. Many thanks in advance. Tom.
