Can't get MSFS 2020 running on Win10 LTSC
Okay, so for testing purposes, I re-installed Windows 10 LTSC 2021 on a new partition for testing, let Windows Updates complete, and then first thing installed Store - and I still get "check your connection" error 😞 I then deleted it, and tried Windows 11 LTSC 2024... And surprise surprise - the exact same error. So it seems that it is not related to my original installation, it is fine, this is something else... Can anyone offer any advice?

Can't get MSFS 2020 running on Win10 LTSC
Yes, LTSC IOT 2021, version 19044, same as the guy from that Reddit link you provided... Which is why it's so weird it's not working for me. I also did try to install that Xbox app from that link (without the Store), and get the same error "check your connection". Lots of people seem to be able to get Store, Xbox app and MSFS running on the exact same LTSC version I have, and I can't figure out why mine won't work, especially when it's a fresh install (with all Windows Updates installed of course).

Can't get MSFS 2020 running on Win10 LTSC
I have Steam version of MSFS. But as I understand it still needs Store + Xbox app to work. I'm pretty sure at this point that the issue is the Store. I can't seem to get it working. Tried to install it with wsreset -i command, also with this installer, but no matter what I do, I still get "check your connection" error: And therefore I can't install Xbox app and all it's dependencies, which is probably why MSFS won't run. I definitely don't have anything blocking the Store, no VPN, no antivirus, no firewall (I did try to disable Windows antivirus and firewall, didn't help). I tried writing to Microsoft Support about this issue, but they have AI chatbot answering emails and it couldn't help. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? I really don't want to reinstall my OS... Besides, it's just 2 weeks old, so basically fresh install, - in all likelihood that wouldn't help anyway...

Can't get MSFS 2020 running on Win10 LTSC
Thanks for replies, guys! The reason I'm using LTSC is basically what JonathanC said. It's like debloated version of Windows, much faster and cleaner, no annoyances, no junk, only security updates, much more control over the system. After trying LTSC I would never go back to Home/Pro lol. It's just that much better... And this is the first time I've encountered issue with it, probably due to that missing store. Yeah, I saw all of these before asking my question here... None of the suggestions there worked for me 😕 This is one of the first things I've tried... Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. Store gets installed, but it won't open ("Check your connection" error), XBox app won't launch either, and MSFS is stuck in that black loading screen. I'll take up on your offer and write you a PM. And if anyone else has any other suggestions, please do tell... I tried pretty much everything I could find on the internet to no avail.

Can't get MSFS 2020 running on Win10 LTSC
Hi, I am running Win 10 LTSC, 21H2, build 19044. Many people have successfully run MSFS 2020 on LTSC, but I get the infamous issue where the game shows black loading screen after splash, and never gets to the main menu, with the loading circle at bottom right corner. It is stationary, but rotates a bit every 5 seconds or so, and the game never loads. CPU usage is 1%, RAM is around 530 Mb and moves around a bit. I suspect the issue is that LTSC doesn't have Xbox app, and no Microsoft Store that is needed to install that Xbox app. I tried to install the Store via this tool, but it doesn't work, Store is installed but when I launch it I get "check your connection" error, and nothing seems to fix it. I also tried to install Xbox app without the Store, using this guide, but afterwards Xbox app won't launch (as soon as I run it, it appears for a split second and shuts down). Also tried installing it from their website - it won't install, shows the same "check your connection" error, just like the Store. I tried running GamingRepairTool, and it shows all modules working except for Gaming Services, which it fails to install/repair. I tried installing it manually but it still doesn't work. Apart from the struggle with Store/Xbox app, I also tried with MSFS: -Running as admin; -Adding -FastLaunch; -Reinstalling GPU drivers (NVIDIA 3070 Ti) -Installing windows updates; -Verify installation via Steam; -Clear user data (although there wasn't any); -Reinstalling game, including clean uninstall; -Disabled Windows Defender and Firewall; -Enabled Vertical Sync for the game in NVIDIA Control Panel; -Disabled all audio inputs; -Removed all USB devices except for mouse; -Run the game directly from EXE (as admin); -Disable Steam Cloud; -Disable Steam overlay; -SFS and DISM repair of my Windows install (although it is just a few weeks old) -Everything else from this guide. And still the same. How can I determine the EXACT cause of game getting stuck in that black screen, rather than blindly shooting in the dark? How do I solve it? Are there any logs I can check?

MAAM Douglas DC-3 (R4D-6) mixture
Thanks, but it's only for DC-3, what about R4D-6 version?

MAAM Douglas DC-3 (R4D-6) mixture
Hello all, I'm trying out this excellent addon by MAAM in fs9, and now I've got some problems. I can't seem to set correct mixture setting. Manual states that there are four settings only - full, Auto High, Auto Lean, and Cut-off. However, it feels like default mixture lever on any other aircraft: it is sensitive, and I need to manually lean mixture with no reference except for engine sound (which isn't very reliable). Therefore, I guess, "Auto" mixture setting on this aircraft doesn't work (don't confuse it with realism settings in s9, it has set Auto Mixture to off). Manual states that there are drag-hotspots to set mixture with mouse, but if I try to do it, it finds only two hotspots - full or cut off. And changing mixture with keyboard doesn't seem to trigger "Auto" mode. What am I doing wrong?

Spectacular near miss
I see. Since KPTH has VOR and GPS approaches, I guess it is legal to fly in IFR conditions. It there was a low visibility, and pilot couldn't see other aircraft, who would be responsible, if not RC, for traffic conflicts?

Spectacular near miss
Hello all, I'm using Radar Contact 4.3 with Fs2004. I also run AISmooth 1.11. I was making a 6+ hour flight from MMLP to KTPH with Beechcraft Bonanza F33 via low altitude airways, altitude 9000. When approaching KTPH, Radar Contact didn't order to contact Approach or Tower, just gave NOTAMS warning, and ordered to descend to 6900, and tell when I have visual contact with the airfield. They day was nice, airfield was in view, so I requested visual approach. RC cleared it, and said that I can cancel IFR in the air or on the ground, leaving but few options - wind check and request IAP approach. And then suddenly, when I looked out my left window, I saw a nice beautiful Beechcraft Baron 58 coming RIGHT AT ME, filling half of the window (guess that was less than 100 feet). I was like "shiiiiii....", instinctively hammered Z to disengage autopilot, and pushed yoke WAY down, in a matter of seconds. G forces made FsPassengers scream, and Baron cleared me by a wing-length (I also hurried to switch to external view to see what happens). Now that's what I call a near miss. If I looked out my left window 2 seconds later, I wouldn't have time to react, and 6 hour trip (no time acceleration) would end in... well, disaster, so to speak. Now I'm astonished that RC issued traffic warnings before, when other planes were like 10nm away, on different altitude, on non-crossing heading, but failed to even mention the Baron coming right at me. How could this happen? Does RC do not give any traffic alerts after issuing approach information? I know RC can't control FS AI (that's what AISmooth should have done... but didn't for some reason), but it could have alerted me! Since when GA aircraft are supposed to have TCAS...
