  1. I have sorted my connection out now and my AS2012 is working. The weather engine seems to be very accurate and the cloud textures are really beautiful. I transferred from another product, and I am jolly glad i did! Superb. Just one problem: jumpiness. I am sure this is because I haven't got my settings sorted properly, but the weather is very jumpy. As the weather updates, clouds pop in and out and the winds jostle my aircraft as they change. One minutes it's sunny, next minute raining. Though the textures are beautiful, these changes are really unrealistic and become quite irritating after a while. What are the correct settings to ensure that the transitions, if you like, are smooth? I have a registered version of FSUIPC (latest), AS 2012 (latest SP and build) and FSX. Any help greatly appreciated, John P.S. Congratulations on a great product!
  2. Put a ticket in and all sorted now. Thanks. John
  3. Sorry just to update - the METARs it's giving me are out of date. It just isn't connecting to the internet. I thought about firewalls vic, so I turned my firewall and anti-virus off, and to no avail. It just won't connect. John.
  4. I have the latest build now, sorry (build 4726). It's just on the first screen when you start it up, it keeps saying the global weather download attempts keep failing: 18:55:14 - Downloading global weather data for 31/12/2012 18:55:14 (18Z) from Primary Server... 18:57:15 - Download failed, retrying, attempt #2 18:57:20 - Switching to Secondary Server 18:59:22 - Download failed, retrying, attempt #3 18:59:27 - Switching to Secondary Server 19:01:34 - Download failed, retrying, attempt #4 19:01:39 - Switching to Secondary Server 19:03:49 - Download failed, retrying, attempt #5 19:03:54 - Switching to Secondary Server 19:05:58 - Download failed, retrying, attempt #6 It then gives a message saying that the programme is in OFFLINE mode, though my internet is fine and the programme downloads metars and things perfectly well. Weird. John
  5. Hi there, I have just bought active sky 2012 but it won't connect to the internet. It can get METARs, but it can't connect to the weather servers. I notice that there are several service packs for it, if I bought it from simmarket today, would I need to add these SPs, or are they already on it? Thanks John,
  6. I am so sorry if this is irrelevant, I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone. I just wanted to say how utterly superb the PMDG simulations are. I have the 747 and the 737 NGX and they are fabulous, faithful, interesting simulations. The 737 in particular renders the real flight deck of a 73 absolutely perfectly. This is how simulations SHOULD BE! No doubt about it, these are the best flight simulation addons I have ever experienced, and I have been using FS for years now. I await the 777 with excitement, knowing that if it has PMDG written on the box, it is going to be absolutely outstanding, and look forward to hearing of new PMDG projects as time goes on. Happy new year to you all, John.
