Default FS9 GPS 500 no longer working
- Default FS9 GPS 500 no longer working
Hey guys, My title is pretty straight forward. I'm an FMC guy myself and use a payware FMC add-on for most of my aircraft BUT I still like having the option of using the GPS if needed. A while ago I noticed that the default GPS 500 is no longer working. When the command is selected for it, either a black box will appear or nothing at all. You will see a flicker of the cursor and then nothing comes up. I've checked all paths and assignments and everything is correct. I have also tried adding the original "fs9gps.CAB" file back into my install, which is found on Disk 2 of the install disks. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) that file was not missing so adding it back from the install disk did not fix anything. Anyone have any ideas as to what the issue might be? I don't see "gps500.gau" but that is also missing from the original install disk. Thanks in advance for the help!- NTDLL.dll crashes FSX when imputing CRZ ALT data
After some more testing, it would seem that it only seems to do this when trying to add CRZ/ALT data after loading a previously saved panel state. If I load the aircraft from the main menu, no issues. Only when I try to do it after loading a saved panel state.- NTDLL.dll crashes FSX when imputing CRZ ALT data
Hey there, I had no issues with this until recently today. I flew a flight yesterday with no problems but now all of the sudden today I get a weird crash. When I go to the PERF INT page of the FMC and being entering all that info, it's when I get to the CRZ/ALT data that the issue arises. I see what my cruise altitude is suppose to be, (IE. FL351) so I will enter 35000 and when I press the button on the right to enter this in, FSX freezes up and eventually goes "Not Responding". A look at the Event Log shows that the faulting .dll is NTDLL.dll. Changes recently made are a Windows update and some custom scenery was installed. Running on Windows 8 64 bit. My system specs are more than enough to handle FSX. (i7 Quad Core @3.50Ghz, GTX 660ti, 24 GB ram). Currently have it set to run as administrator and run in compatibility mode. I have had issue after issue after issue and this is just another one. Any reason why entering in CRZ data is causing FSX to crash for NTDLL.dll? Hey there. I just purchased the NGX package for FSX and let me say that I am quite pleased. Hands down the best add-on package for FS IMHO. Anyways, my question is, is there suppose to be a "PMDG" drop down menu in the main ALT menu bar? Normally there is one for other add-ons and would allow you to do stuff like change the panel state to cold and dark or add ground connections (which I know you can add the trucks from the FMC) and other things but I notice now that there is no PMDG menu in the ALT menu bar. Is this normal or is there something wrong? Thanks, Nick. - Default FS9 GPS 500 no longer working
