  1. Looking for a different take on the Virtual Airline world? Enjoy flying warbirds? Ever want to replecate the excitement of the epic air battles of WWII? If you answered yes to any of the above, do yourself a favor and check out the FSX 4th Fighter Group!! The FSX 4th Fighter Group flies realistic mission profiles based on historical missions flown by the 4th Fighter Group in WWII. By using FSX we are able to replicate flight conditions, time, weather and scenery to provide a reasonable facsimile of those WWII missions with-in the limitations of FSX - although we do push those limitations quite a bit! We typically fly higher end payware aircraft like the A2A P-51D which replicates the systems of a real P-51 and requires engine management and systems knowledge or the Warbirdsim P-51s (not nessesary to join - see the "Kites" page for more info). This makes a typical flight a bit more challenging, but well worth it! Our missions range from fighter sweeps and escorts to attacks on ground transportation and airdrome strafing missions. We use a combination of free scenery from FSX scenery publishers and custom mission scenery developed specifically for the FSX 4th FG by an in-house scenery designer! So if you are looking for the most fun you can have with your clothes on, check us out Do you prefer flying Axis aircraft? Perfect! we are always looking for dedicated Luftwaffe pilots to join us on missions as an opposition force so we have someone to tangle with!
