  1. That would be really really bad... Anyway this problem is SOLVED, at least for now. I was looking for a newer driver version but found only the original driver from 2010. So I couldn't update but reinstall both sound and webcam drivers (I read somewhere that they are closely related to each other) and subsequently the second reinstall fixed the problem. Mic works fine and FO is a good listener again :-) Thanks! Regards Mario
  2. Well until last weekend everything was fine... There's absolutely no noise around. I tried to do the Speech Training, but it doesn't even recognise the first sentence (if I'm more than 10cm away from the microphone) ?!
  3. Hi! First of all I think FS2Crew is a great product and I've not had any serious problems using it for months. But now suddenly my FO doesn't understand what I say to him. If I say something like "Preflight Checklist" or "Are you ready for the departure brief?" he'll most of the time understand nothing but "go ahead". I don't know a lot about speech recognition and system setup, but so far I never had this problem before. My system is a Toshiba Qosmio X500 laptop (Win7 x64) with a built in microphone on top of the screen, so nothing special here. It seems to me that maybe the microphone input level is to low somehow, although it is set at 100% (Sound taskbar symbol -> Recording devices -> Microphone Properties -> Levels), because if the distance between me and microphone is less than 10-15cm there's a pretty good chance that the FO is able to understand what I say. Well this just happend a couple of days ago for the first time and before that distances of more than 1m were perfectly suitable. I don't know what I can do to solve this problem... Thanks for your help! Regards Mario
