FSX crashes as soon as "fly now" is selected
Hi Jim You were spot on re the display monitor. I disconnected the most recent monitor I had installed, and now fsx loads perfectly. I'm new at this so am still getting to grips. Got to figure out how to get the fsx display to stretch to 3 monitors. Have to do some trial and error on the ATI catalyst software that is part of the graphics card. Then I have to see how to place left view and right view on the L and R monitors. Big learning curve for me. Your guide is very useful and I'm still studying it. Will keep u updated, and may come to u for some more help if u don't mind. Tks again for yr advice. Cheers Marconioz

FSX crashes as soon as "fly now" is selected
I have a 3.5 Intel CPU, 500gb SSD And a AMD Radeon 7970 graphics card with 5 displays running windows 7 64bit. I have FSX Deluxe edition with accelerator disk. FSX loads perfectly I have made a separate. Folder marked FSX on the c drive and that's where it installs to. The acceleration disk loads perfectly as well. Both allow themselves to be activated. I start FSX, make my selections and settings. All OK. I now select "fly now". Scenery loads. The screens on all monitors flash as the resolution is changed. After that NOTHING. No crash information, no "fsx has stopped working check online for help in solving the problem" Nothing. I don't know what to do. Have installed and uninstalled both FSX and the operating system countless times. Tried grafix card with the latest drivers. Tried with the original drivers that came with the card. No difference. Grafix card has a total of 6 outputs. 2 are dvi. The other 4 are connected to the displayport via active display port to dvi adapters. These 4 outputs have to be set up using "ATI CATALYST" software. The two standard DVI outputs are the default setting when windows loads. I have even tried running FSX before activating the other 4 displays. Have tried disabling COMPUTER CONTROL as some sites suggested. Still no luck. Any suggestions (anything at all) would be welcome Marconioz
