  1. I am a 24/7 carer for my wife, getting on in years and enjoy flight simming. Ex RAF and glider pilot (not any more). I build my own systems, currently have a three monitor setup runninf off an AMD Radeon HD 7900 series graphic card. Mainboard is an Asus P8Z77-V mounting an Intel i5-3570K CPU (overclocked) 3.40GHz +. Memory is 12gb vengance, a WD1002HD cached with a crucial adrenaline 64gb SSD, all this in a HAF XM case. All in all I am fairly pleased with this system,it handles everything I have thrown at it (including FSX with VFR Horizon Generation X and Airfields maxed out in Eyefinity setup). Although I am no stranger to FSX there is still plenty I would like to learn, particularly PMDG 737NGX it's awesome. I am not an acedemic and find it hard going trying to learn from books or the screen, my wife will distract me and all I have just read goes out the window. Looking, seeing and doinng is more my forte.I get 5 hours two afternoons a week respite to do shopping and get a bit of time to myself, nomally on Eastbourne seafront doing the Sun crossword eating a bag of fish and chips. All other times I am at home looking after my wife. This is what I am thinking:- Is there anyone in or local to Eastbourne, East Sussex that would like to meet up with a fellow simmer, I have a good coffee machine and make a mean sandwich. It's a no smoking house indoors, no objections to a quick puff in the garden though, my wife and I used to get through 80+ a day, not any more though. So: in a nutshell, anyone local to Eastbourne that would like to meet up please give me a PM. Posted in FSX and PMDG forums. Take care Mike M flybinight

  3. Hi Everyone Many thanks for all your answers and suggestions. I already had FS2Crew button & voice but never got to use it, I have now downloaded the audio version as well. This will give me something to get stuck into. I have a three 24" hd screen set up and will be able to view the FS2crew as well as the FSX together. When using FSX I switch to the Eyefinity setting, it's awesome. I wrote to PMDG, evidently Boeing will not allow them under their current licence agreement to distribute them through any other source than their current set up in the E-commerce store. Again , many thanks for all replies.....Mike Marsh
  4. Just purchased the PMDG 737 NGX. Compared to other sims this is the best I have ever used. However, my knowledge of the cockpit layout and switches is not very good, the manual etc that come with the disk do not show this. Or if it does I cannot find it. I have started to learn how to set up the CDU and other instruments as per manual. I get to the page59/60 EFIS setup, and ISFD, it mentions range knobs TFC buttons and so on. The manual is not that clear and I need a large cockpit layout poster, I understand there are a set of three PMDG posters that can be bought from the US (precision manuals). Problem is I live in the UK. My flightstore supplier sells them but because of some dispute over copywrite they are unable to get them at present. Does anyone know how I can get a set without paying a fortune. Or is there an alternative set I can get.
