Auto Generated Marinas & Boats_Free Addon
merlin_66 replied to kt069's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Mamudesign Marinas is now payware. -
I'm looking to add a static aircraft to my local airport. I've been offered .bin, .gLTF and a stack of .png files for the aircraft I want to see. What actually do I have to do with these files to make a visible object in MSFS2020. (I looked at MCX but didn't get anywhere....) Can you help??
-
STK, Thanks, Not prepared to pay $30 just for a static model.

I'm trying to complete the line up of all the aircraft in the Temora Aviation Museum. I'm finding it impossible to track down a model of the CAC Boomerang either for MSFS2020 or a FSX model I could convert. Any ideas/ help. Thanks.

Lack of trainee pilot in Harvard model
merlin_66 replied to merlin_66's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
DD_Arthur, The Co-pilot camera was not setup under Camera Controls. I just used ALT-C to toggle the Co-pilot camera and YES!!!! it did work (as you showed) with the T6/Harvard. Thanks for the help. (Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with all aircraft - I assume the base model has to be designed to accommodate) -
Lack of trainee pilot in Harvard model

Hmmm, OK I'll have a look, see if I can find that. (Different aircraft have different positions for the co-pilot - behind or by the side.........) -
Lack of trainee pilot in Harvard model

Bob, The ALT plus DOWN key sequence (tried both the left and right ALT) doesn't work for me. The left ALT UP arrow just moves the camera slightly forward, the Right ALT doesn't change the UP/DOWN which work as expected. - no significant rear movement (tried the Harvard and the Mustang with the same result) On another note: I see on the Mustang that I can't correct the initial altitude on the gauge. It seems to have a lower lock point of 29.47 whereas I need 28.94 to correct for the 900 ft altitude. Any ideas?? Thanks. -

Very nice! Don't understand your "select co-pilot" that's not an available option. Bobcat, I used the same camera setting as you got a custom view from the rear seat position but couldn't save it!! I'll try again today. Anyone know how to get Tom in the front seat of the Mustang? -

Yeah, that's very similar to the method recommended in the video. -
Lack of trainee pilot in Harvard model

Setting the eye position to -13.5, 0, 1.3 in the Asobo T6/Harvard puts you in the rear seat position. There's a full instrument panel back there!! Unfortunately the added roll bar spoils the view, and there's no image of the rear of the student (Can a pilot be added?????) (My wife wanted to fly with Tom Cruise in his Mustang....the rear "seat" eye position is -11, 0, 1.1) Feedback welcome. -

I think I may have found the answer - The Harvard and P51 are in the Official folder not the Community folder, Stay tuned! -
Lack of trainee pilot in Harvard model
merlin_66 replied to merlin_66's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Ok, Just watched a couple of video's which cover the repositioning of custom cameras. Unfortunately this seems to involve modification of the camera.cfg file. This doesn't appear in any of the Asobo models I'm looking at. I'm trying to add a camera position which would represent a passenger in the rear of the Asobo T6/ Harvard. There seems to be a complete instrument panel etc so it would look good. I can't find any camera.cfg files in any of the T6 models! Any ideas??? -

Lack of trainee pilot in Harvard model
merlin_66 posted a topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I know in MSFS 2020 that Asobo built aircraft do not allow the trainee/guest to be added to the Harvard or the Mustang (There are probably others). The Harvard was a training aircraft so unusual not to see a body in the rear seat. Tom Cruise's Mustang has a back seat for guests.... OK, but can someone tell me how to set up a camera view so that it looks like you may be in the rear seat and looking over/ around the guy in the front seat?? -

Tom, The FCR5 looks like it has the same capabilities as SkyDolly - doesn't handle stationary aircraft.... -
video app for MSFS aircraft?

Don't know... I'll investigate further. Thanks for the lead. Ken -
Looking for some help! I've managed to bring together models of all the flying Spitfires in Australia. RG-V, FN-B, FU-P and YO-K (as well as some others!) Eventually when my skill improves I'd like to take a formation flight video (using SkyDolly) showing them in the sky at Temora, NSW. In the meantime I thought I could use the video to show them all lined up at the flight line... SkyDolly doesn't work for this type of arrangement (needs a aircraft in flight!) Can anyone suggest a video app which could allow me to position each aircraft one next to the other on the apron?

I use the VFRMaps which I find very useful and easy to use. https://www.msfsaddons.org/freeware/plugin-vfrmap Unfortunately there is an issue with the Heading - this has been raised on the VFRMaps Github site but no action taken. I'm wondering if this software is still support? Is it possible to contact the author? Thanks

Glenn, Thanks for that. Todd2 - I've been unable to find any FSX version - there is an older CFS2 one.

I'm trying to set-up all the aircraft currently located/ airworthy at Temora YTEM, NSW Australia. I've managed to find all the Spitfires (MSFS), Tiger Moth, Wirraway and the Canberra, Sabre, Vampire, Meteor, and Boomerang (FXS) but so far I've been unable to locate a freeware version of the Lockheed Hudson. See: https://www.airforce.gov.au/community/event-participation/air-force-heritage-aircraft-fleet/lockheed-hudson If anyone knows of a suitable model could they let me know. For Static or flying duties. Thanks
