  1. Side-by-Side Config Issue in Win8

    Hi everyone, I am a complete Newbie to the AVSIM forums. The main reason I am here is, because I heard that it is the best place to find solutions for FSX Issues. I recently bought a new Notebook PC (i5@ 2,6GHz; 6GB RAM; Nvidia GeForce 740M nd Win 8 :-( ). Although I am thoroughly impressed with the new machine, FSX has started somehow clashing with WIN8. After FSX and the Acceleration expansion pack FSX worked perfectly for a couple of weeks. Now all of a sudden, upon running FSX I get an error message mentioning something with the Side by Side Configuration: "The application could not be executed because of an invalid Side-by-Side configuration." A screenshot of the error-message is attached. Unfortunately in German, as I am running a German Version of the OS. I would appreciate it if someone could be of assistance! Many Thanks!!! :-) Ok just saw that the screenshot uploaded twice by accident. Sorry about that.
