  1. Having read the discussion above about the requirement for the EFB to ALWAYS be running, and considering the thread topic is "Performance", a thought just crossed my mind about previous experience with DRM. Many games on PC these days use a rather controversial form of always on DRM called Denuvo. Apart from the always on feature, controversy stems from the claimed and very well documented/tested (with and without said DRM removed) adverse effect on gaming performance. Just wondering if the EFB/DRM is having a similar effect on the poor performance some people are getting with the Fenix?
  2. I get exactly the same every time I fly into Heathrow. Most of the buildings gone. I have to pause the game, change settings to low and save, change back to ultra and save, and the buildings appear! Seems the game has issues with some of Asobo's default airports since SU5 update.
  3. I have been quietly watching the threads about this issue since SU5 as I have exactly the same issue at Heathrow (no issue prior to SU5). I take off from London City and fly to Heathrow, only to arrive to very low poly buildings with no textures! I have to pause, switch to settings and do the afore mentioned change low-save back to ultra-save, for the correct visuals to appear. I have to repeat this process EVERY time I fly into Heathrow. All the surrounding Auto-gen is fine, just seems to be an issue with Asobo's stock airport. Patiently hoping the next update at the end of the month sorts this out.
  4. I too come from the UK and I am soooo looking forward to this. I fly mostly in the UK for now, and unlike most of you, I tend to think that most of the freeware add-ons (towns-cities-areas) for MSFS look terrible 😕 (A few airports and single items like bridges aside). Colours that don't blend, ugly looking trees, terrible performance etc etc. I have been waiting for this update since release 🙂
  5. Just found this amazing vid on youtube. People and their talents never fail to amaze me. Fantastic production going on here.
  6. Hi all. Long time lurker here. Always been fascinated with sims, bought most of them over the years but never really took them serious. Yip I was that guy that put most of the settings to "arcade mode". After many years mucking about I have finally decided it is time to learn to fly "properly", as much as that is possible within MSFS 2020. I have zero interest for now in flying airliners and plan on sticking to GA craft, with my plan being the C152->C172 and now this beautiful looking M20R. Yes I know all about Carenado's rep in previous sims, but after watching this inflight review of the plane, it was enough to convince me on my first MSFS addon purchase. I know it's no A2A study model, but for someone like me aka-noob, it looks about perfect to get me started. Perhaps people like me are the target market and I am posting this just to let you guys know that surely this is no bad thing? More users, bigger market, win win all round. Anyway here is the vid that convinced me to buy 🙂
