  1. Huzzah finally it's working Just reinstalled my video drivers inbetween installing FSX and Acceleration (went out and got the gold edition in the end as I was borrowing my brothers copy of fsx). So if anyone else get's this issue it's a good sign to repair install windows and then reinstall you're drivers until it works is all I can really say. Jim you're a god send for all your help and input, thank you very much.
  2. I've installed all my drivers again and ran windows update, running Anti-virus at the moment.
  3. Repair installed Windows 7 cleared up alot of erors and the c00005 error, howver FSX now claims my video card is unsupport, please install latest drivers. Which I've done
  4. Well just tested it properly, reinstalled both ASUS and nVidia both crashed, so went back to the latest nVidia driver to support some other games I play, etc. booted up FSX before rebooting my PC and had a 3 hour flight in the A2A Spitfire (amazing plane, so hard to learn the quirks though). Hope the 780 stays good for you Jim! Would love to upgrade to a better card sometime.
  5. Jim I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are a genuine nice guy and thank you for your support, advice and sticking through this problem with me. I'll check it's setting, as far I can tell it is installed properly, I've posted on the nVidia forum and someone responded saying there is a problem with ASUS cards and to look for an 'update' sadly the latest ASUS update is from 2012 and is terrible for most 'new' games...I will post here with anything I find for anyone who has the same problem in the future.
  6. Hi Jim, I've found the source of my error, but not the fix. I reinstalled my video driver (nVidia 320.49 (beta) latest driver) and it works! Right up until I reboot/turn off my pc, when I come back to play it it gives me the error. I tested this by reinstalling rebooting and trying to play which gave me the c000005 error. Then I reinstalled driver and just clicked play I'm now happily flying jets. Does this mean I need to reinstall my driver everytime to play or is there something else going on? As far as I can tell the driver doesn't corrupt as it is fine on everything else.
  7. I'm pretty close to giving up on SP2/Acceleration ever working on my system (which is a huge shame). But I havn't tried the Highmemfix or bufferpool .cfg tweaks yet (as I don't know how to use them) would this make a difference as it's a memory access problem? Apart from this is a W7 repair installation/clean install my last resort?
  8. Thanks Jim, this is turning into a needle in a haystack I believe, only thing left todo I guess is to update all the drivers on that list. Otherwise I think it's a case of SP2 will not work on my system.
  9. I've run DrivrScanner and the following are out of date: USB Host controllers USB 3.0 Root Hub and Host controller Intel 7 Chipset (extension ports/ LPC controller/ SMBug controller) Priocessor DRAM Controllers & PCI-E root port. PCI bus These either I have the latest from ASUS (board manufacturer) or there are no updates from what I can see. The hardware side of it is: Realttek PCIe Controller TP Link Wireless Adapter ASUS Xonar D1 The more confusing thing is that it worked, once after I updated my video drivers but has gone back to the same crash, also running checks on my two new sticks last night no errors and currently running on my two old sticks which I had no problems with, still getting the Appcrash error.
  10. No worries Jim My BIOS settings are just set to the 'ASUS' optimal settings, this also happened with the default 'normal' settings. I'm starting to get rather put out, what are other causes of the c0000005 error code? I've check sharing, access rights, drivers, UAC/DEP, OC settings, Graphics (with you advice which is very welcome and again thank you for your patience) Edit: AppCrashView showing: '0xc0000005' as the error code and cause of several crashes I had this afternoon playing games...starting to get worried.
  11. I shall have a look, thank you for the information Just reinstalled again! But this time to E:/Games still have the same APPCRASH c000000005 code, a few google responses claimed it could be due to access errors.. Managed to get it to load once until I rebooted my pc by updating my nVidia drivers to the latest, but now it's back to the appcrash error
  12. I have the ASUS P8v77 MB, would you be able to guide me through setting up the correct values (rather new to fiddling with Hardware). Event Viewer has a few other errors that happen randomly whilst my PC is on: WMI error ID 10 ScRegSetValueExW error ID 4001 Also found Faulting Process ID changes with the FSX BEX error, not sure if that'll help. Warnings: WLAN Auto-config has successfully stopped Guard32.dll - Error ID 11 EDIT: Was going through my BIOS and found where I need to change the timings/etc and found my SPD data but not sure how to use it all, however I found additional Overflow Buffering protections built-in to the MB, turned it off and BEX is now gone I now have this APPCrash: Still not running right, but atleast it's a step though it looks to me to be the same thing but from the application and not the buffer overflow
  13. All files validated, only had the HsSrv.dll fault once but I did indeed have GX mode turned on for my ASUS card. Turned it off now, still getting the BEX error, the offset code keeps changing but nothing else. I can't really think of what else could cause the problem with SP2..
  14. Nope still no luck, is there any other information you could use to help?
  15. I've got to say Jim you are probably the most helpful person in I've ever spoken to, thank you so much for the time you take todo this. Microsoft .Net frameworks seen are: Framework 1.0.3705 to v4.0.30319 (in /Microsoft.net/Framework) V2.0.50727 to v4.0.30319 (in /Microsoft.net/Framework64) But in Add/Remove Programs only Framework 1.1 and Framework 4 Client Profile/Extended appear. So I'm not sure if the .NETs are installed properly, I will see if I can find downloads for them and check. Just done a completely clean installation (Uninstalled everything, cleared out all files, CCleaner ran) and updated to SP2 without changing anything. Same error As far as I know my system is not Overclocked (left it all since the day I built the machine). Edit: Rolled back to SP1 and got this as I went to change my graphics settings from the default Ultra High to a lower setting to see if it's that: Though I think this could be because I've not put in the UI.dll fix. Tried lowering my settings to minimal across the board, installed SP2 still for the BEX error
  16. Just abit of an update, I've tried rolling back to SP1 running CCleaner Register and general clean then installing SP2. Still getting the same BEX crash. Also the installation hangs on DirectX update (about 2/3 completeion bar) then closes and opens the 'installation complete' box, is this normal for windows 7 or is something missing (never thought of that). I'm starting to wonder if Accel would fix this issue with SP2 or if it would suffer the same fate.
  17. Hi Jim, Thank you for the response, Ive run CCleaner but I'll try it again with SP2 uninstalled. FSX settings on set to default (v.high i think it is), by MSV do you mean MS Visual if so then I have it going '05.'08,'10 in the add/remove. The A2A is Accu-feel 2. Don't know if this helps at all System Spec is: O/S: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: I5-2500k RAM 16GB GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti Soundcard: ASUS D1 All drivers are upto date.
  18. Hi there, I've spent the last week or two looking around and can't find anything to solve this, bar buying the gold ediiton but I don't want to buy something which might not work either and it's rather gutting as I quite fancied the A2A stuff which requires SP2. I've got standard edition FSX and it's fine on SP1 with whatever mods and using the UIAuto.dll to help maintain long flights, however as soon as I install SP2 I get 'A Fatal Error' BEX open start-up after hanging on the splash screen for about 30-60 seconds. I have tried UAC on/off, no firewall/Antivirus, no addon completely clean installations several times. removal of FSX.config which leads to a partially completed config files (literally one lines of data), I really cannot think of the cause as the problem starts with the SP2 update. Error reads as followed: Appcrash gives me this:
