  1. Hi all, so there's probably a much more eloquent way of putting this question but I'm not really genned up on the terminology, so excuse my potentially awkward phrasing. So I've got my hands on an X-52 Pro, and generally speaking its all well and good, but I've got an issue with the stick - there seems to be a 'mechanical deadzone' in the center. The software deadzone is set as small as it'll go, but there is an uncomfortably large area of movement that gets no response from the PC. I'll state that "Uncomfortably large" for me is probably much smaller than most - I'm the type of guy who will notice a speck of dust under a mouse (and proceed to get disproportionately annoyed by it) So anyway, luckily I'm not financially invested yet, so I was looking at instead of acquiring an X52 of my own, saving up for a while and going for a more precise stick - currently the two that seem to stand out the most are the X-65f, and the HOTAS Warthog. I've heard plenty of good things about the Warthog, however I've also heard that there's a fair bit of wiggle in it too, which would drive me absolutely bat-guano mental. The main reason the X-65f seems so attractive to me on the other hand, is the fact that its force-sensing, and therefore these 'mechanical deadzones' aren't an issue. The throttle isn't really an issue for me, having looked at both they both have pros and cons and are effectively equal in my eyes - or at least the difference is much less important than that of the sticks. Anyone have thoughts on this? I plan on using the stick for a wide variety of applications, from flight sims to scifi space dogfighters, so "Authenticity" isn't really an issue - the main thing thats motivating me is my irritating hyper-sensitivity to this sort of nonsense. Warthog owners let me know how the 'wiggle' is, X65 owners I'd like to hear about how easy it is to do small, precise movements with it. Anyway, this might be a load of nonsense, but thanks for reading it - hope to hear back from ya ;D
