  1. In another forum thread a user mentioned issues with the Microsoft Store version of MSFS sometimes having issues due to it exceeding Windows' maximum path length for some files. This reminded me of a fix I found when I had the same issue while making backups of my files. The fix can be found at the following link: How to Make Windows 10 Accept File Paths Over 260 Characters I implemented this fix quite a while back on my own system and it worked perfectly. Hopefully it will help others as well.
  2. Sorry for this off-topic post but I wanted to share the following link in case it helps you with the file path length issue: How to Make Windows 10 Accept File Paths Over 260 Characters.
  3. Although I didn't have the install issues, I did have a similar experience where nothing happened when clicking the button. I was able to fix it by alt-tabbing to another window then alt-tabbing back to the Flight Simulator window. In general, I have found that when MSFS is not responding to clicks I can usually either click on the MSFS window itself or alt-tab to another window then back to the MSFS window. It seems to be that there is no obvious indication to make it apparent when the MSFS window isn't the actively focused window. As a workaround, I enabled the "Mute Audio In Background" setting under Options -> General -> Sound. This way, if I don't hear anything I know that MSFS is not the active window. I hope this helps so you can start flying soon. 🙂
