Then I have no idea what this might be? It also appears that this "lag" also exist (in my case) in the 747, but not in the 737? So there must be a connection between their size or something? I dont know for sure
-
I can now comfirm that IT IS NOT the soundfiles fault for our "lag". I have now been doing up to 5 landing in both of Flytampas Dubai and UK2000 manchester and my conclution is that all this depends on the FPS. In dubai I got this type of lag in every single landing, but when I tested it in Manchester non of this was noticeable. But I would still love to land in Dubai without this lag though....

I am really confused at this point, It seems like the soundfiles is not the problem? Then what is? Even some of the beta testers has the same bug as me: Check out 4:41

Thanks for your reply! My Pc is more than good enough for the task of flying this plane. I had no issues with the 737, so why should my computer not handle a more modern designed FSX aircraft?
-
No luck there im afraid :Worried: Any other suggestions?

Epic, can you tell me were this file is located, it doesnt show up on the search screen. Would be smart to know where the file`s right place is before taking it away
-
Im so sorry, I did a full search in the FSX folder and I found it ^_^

Thanks for your sugestion Epic ^_^ I`ll give it a shot  UMM, this file doesnt exist? Would you mind being a little more accurate?

Thanks for replying! But is there a temporary fix which we can do by ourself? I would not suspect that the hot fix is weeks or days away

Good evening everyone! I were just wondering if any of you on this forum, knows what I should do with the big soundfiles in the 777? It seems like I dont have a super soundcard and this is a problem for me. I have been experiencing that my computer "freeze" for half a second, for loading the sounds on touchdown. (I only experience this on touchdown with the rear landing gears". So what should I do about this? Any tips? I have been searching around and it seems like some of the sounds are recorded longer than necessary? (30 seconds) And I were wondering if it was possible to make these files any smaller? Best regards Stian.

FSX freeze just before nose wheel contacts ground.

Does anyone want to take the task of trying to short these files down and see how it goes? Or should we wait for PMDG to find these posts? -
I believe I have found the answere to all of this and I think most people have too. I have been searching around and the problem seems to be the massive touchdownsound files which makes my and many others computers load at touchdown which is quite anoying  And at the same time the soundfiles are 30s. recorded or something like that, and the sounds only need to last for 3 seconds? :Straight Face: (I Believe I read it somewhere) SOOO Im really hoping for a fix from PMDG  Stian

I deleted PMDG 777 sound folder, then There was no freeze! I suspect that there is a minus by deleting these files? -
I have not deleted it completly, its still in the "trashcan". Im not sure whats the name of it in the English version of windows. So i can just simply just replace it, but I didnt understand, should I remove it or rename it? I got a little confused
-
You renamed it to what? Or did you just simply delete it like I just did?
-
I believe he means that we have a ###### soundcard, and therefor we need to buy a bettter one (soundcard) :( I read somewhere mentioned a "PCI soundcard" its not that expencive so I think I`ll buy one someday in the future. :Rolling Eyes:

I kinda have the same problem as you, but mine freeze when the rear landing gear touch the runway <_< -
I have now deleted the skidmark effect, so im just hoping that the problem is gone  But I dont have time for any testing this weekend, so the testing has to wait for awhile -_- Thanks for replying @DOGANG KIM. I dont have the same problem as you do, mine freezes once the rear landing gear touch the runway

Hi all! I recently bought the 777, and I must say its FANTASTIC! BUT! I have been experiencing "lag" on touchdowns with both of the PMDG 777, and the 747. (I dont experience this with the 737 and smaller jets)? By lag I mean that the screen freezes for 1-2 seconds (not a fatal error or something like that) and after those seconds it returns to normal conditions, but after that has occured the landings always feels hard. Soooo I was wondering if there is reason for this on my big-jets or is there some kind of setting which has to be turned off or on? Not sure if this is the case for every airport, but so far i have only landed the 777 in Duabi.
