Unexpected windfall $800 what should I get?

haha, not to worry, I bought the protection plan on the CPU, if I burn it out ill just get a new one lol. Plus, temps are still in acceptable range. Max is 80 C during benchmarks.

It's an amazing case! Better airflow than a larger case twice its size!

  4. Hey guys, I recently had the good fortune of coming into some unexpected electronics store credit and I’ve been contemplating on what to do to make Prepar3d run better, or future proof. Here is my current setup: i7-4790k OC 4.7Ghz @ 1.450 / Asus Z97 WS/ Cooler Master Glacer 240L CPU Cooler / 8GB DDR3 @ 2000 / 2 X MSI GTX 980 4G Gaming in SLI / Corsair Air Carbide 540 / “27 IPS AOC Monitor 1920 x 1080 / Saitek Pro Flight Yoke & Pedals / Now that we have that out of the way, here is what I was looking at (in no particular order) Credit is at Micro Center so anything they sell would be fair game. 1. Larger Monitor with/without G-sync 2. Triple Monitor Setup 3. Add Another GTX 980 for triple SLI 4.Anything else? I really appreciate all the help. I don’t mean to come across as pompous by any means, just very passionate and fortunate to have such a great hobby to pursue. I only hope I can pay it forward in the future in many other ways. Thank you!
  5. Just a quick update guys, I reinstalled FSX on the machine and its working now. Turns out that Captain Sim needs some registry entries generated by FSX in order to complete activation. So you must have FSX installed on your system in order for the plane to work. All my landing gear, gauges are back. They should put that in the system requirements....
  6. Hey guys, I was just curious if anyone has tried using the Overland/Simmers Sky models in P3D v2.3 yet?
  7. Hello everyone, To be blunt, I am at my wits end. I have recently purchased the Captain Sim 777 1.4 for Prepar3d v2. I am running v2.3. When I follow installation instructions, I cannot see landing gear, displays, etc. I know this is a problem with activation and it is an anti-piracy measure. However, I have tried the following solutions to fix it: 1. I have done a complete uninstall and reinstall by deleting registry values, manual activation, the works 2. I have tried a restart and running as administrator both Prepar3d and the Captain Sim installer 3. I have re-downloaded the installation file 4. I have turned off firewalls and anti-virus programs Please help, I am very surprised by the lack of customer service at Captain Sim, I have always held their products in high regard, but to advertise a product that does not even work is very concerning. Any help at all is welcome!
