  1. Microsoft Flight Simulator X for Pilots Real World Training a superb book by Jeff Van West and Kevin Lane-Cummings was aimed at Flight training on simulator like real world training. It has been referred to in the above posts earlier. It is a superb book and makes it fun to learn on its own or complementing real world training. It is primarily aimed at learning on FSX as the lesson files available on Wiley Publishers are for use with FSX. However thanks to our friend the files for MSFS 2020 have been also made and available at Flightsim.to MSFS-RWT_v4-2-0 : Multilingual Real World Training Missions for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS There are some limitations as some of planes used in FSX lessons are not available on MSFS2020 for which nearest in specs alternate plane is provided in the lesson. Also some variations in weather conditions are observed but are minor. The briefings and maps / charts are provided along with these lesson files which are a great help in understanding the scenario. The book itself which explains the basics and "why" for each of these lessons (the "how" to do it part) so it (the book) remains important to have and read while leraning from using these lesson files. Happy simming like a real world pilot !
