  1. I had an idea. I don't see many suggestions being put forward here for LNM so I don't know whether it's considered acceptable to suggest stuff but I figure it can't do any harm. On reaching a waypoint, a the remarks for that waypoint can appear in the flight-plan remarks panel. I had a few ideas to make this more useful for creating your own bush-tours The flight remarks panel is a tab of the flight planning panel, maybe have it as a separate panel so it can be placed independently of the flight plan so that you don't have to switch away from the flight plan to see them. Potentially have the flight remarks panel as a pop-up that appears when activated. Have audio remarks so that people can record their own narration for bush-tours that will play when the waypoint is reached Maybe even also allow remarks in html format so that things like photographs can be included. Feel free to tell me to shut up.
  2. Having tried it on a flight around Italy it remained at 14.7nm for the whole journey, including taxiing and landing. I was flying at around 3,000ft and around 100kts
  3. Thanks for replying. So what you're saying is with previous simulators, LNM has adapted its zoom level to the speed and altitide of the aircraft, but currently isn't getting the right information from MSFS to do this reliably? That definitely sounds useful when it comes to taxiing, I'll just have to hope that this can be fixed in future.
  4. I couldn't find any topics about this issue, so presume nobody else is having it. I presume it's a bug as far as I can tell I have exhausted all options to prevent this from happening in the options menu. The default zoom level which LNM jumps to when centering on the plane after 10 seconds seems to just be random. On some flights it jumps to a very small scale zoom level like 0.5nm, on others though it jumps to a very large scale zoom level like 200nm, on odd occasions it jumps to my preferred zoom level (usually around 3.7nm). I have 3.7nm set in the options as the default zoom level when double-clicking on an object and when I do double click on an object it will jump to this zoom level, however after 10 seconds it will jump back to whichever random zoom level it happens to be preferring on that particular day. Altering that ten second delay before jumping back to the plane doesn't help as all you're doing then is stopping it from following your plane at all. The only other setting I can see which might have a bearing on this is one that makes it automatically zoom out to the best level if the map isn't loading, but turning this off doesn't change anything so it isn't this. I'm currently using Beta 3.60 but this problem also existed in the previous stable versions.
  5. Hi all. I just bought Flight Simulator X for myself, having played it previously on the computer of a former flatmate. However I liked to use the glass cockpits, which he had on his FSX and noticed right away that there are none. It didn't take me long to find out that I'd bought the standard edition and glass cockpits are only available in the gold edition (he must've had the Gold Edition) So my question is, is it possible to upgrade to the gold edition? I've not been able to see any kind of add-on pack available in the Microsoft store, or any other store for that matter, so it seems like the only option is to go out and buy the Gold Edition, which means I've wasted a bit of money on buying the Standard Edition. I hope there's an upgrade... if I'm honest, not being able to find one using Google, I guess that there isn't one available. But it's always worth asking people who know better. Thanks.
