I watched all the Air Canada 777 films, and I find them all very well done. The crews are are very knowledgable and professional. I've learnt a lot from them, little teqniques that you wouldn't normally use in the pmdg 777. The flight crew just makes you want to fire up the sim and fly the pmdg 777 on a long haul, it never gets old.

Defnately a must have. The visuals, the performance are all flawless. I do still on occasion get the odd oom, only when flying long 8 + hour trips in the pmdg 777, and only in high dense airports such as fsdt klax, ohh and I have my traffic set to 100% so that's prolly why.

But it doesn't bug me because what I love about pmdg is that I can save my flight at critical points during the flight, ex. on approach. And if fsx crashes, I just load it back up and finish the flight.

And for the people that are getting frustrated with p3d v2 and it's bugs, including myself, Steve's fix offers pretty much the same effects as in p3d v2, just missing the cockpit shadows.

I've had this happen numerous times. But then I decided, you know what I'll leave it the way it is and see what happens. So I left the sim the way it was 'frozen', came back 30 mins later, and voila the plane was continuing on to its destination.

Now whenever it happens I'm just patient, because if you just leave it the way it is it will respond back.

I thought I give this dx10 fixer a try. After installing the libs I used 4xAA but I have no luck with AA . Normally the plane on the freeflight page is without any edges, so my planes and the world after loading a plane and scenery. With DX10 fixer switched to DX10 there def. no AA. Do some of you arehaving any idea?

It's normal to have the plane look jaggy with no aa in the aircraft preview, but it's not when you fire up the flight.

With all these new addons coming out, there is no doubt xp10 will become superior in the flightsim world, that is if Austin improves in many aspects such as seasons, ai, flight dynamics and the visibility especially when cruising at fl300.

For now I feel it's a sim for people that enjoy flying GA, or bush flying. Doing long hauls in the beautiful 777, or JAR A320, just doesn't feel right. I wanna be able to do trips from snowy Canada over here have snow on the ground when I depart, and fly somewhere with no snow. Cruising at FL300 and above, feels nothing like it, blurry textures, and visibility is just awful.

Little things like that makes xp10 feel off. I want to fly more in it, but it just doesn't feel right. The only thing that brings me back to it is the great performance, and the night visuals(amazing!!).

Will xp10.30 offer something that many more simmers will make that switch. Or is it just going to continue on with small enhancements to better performance(it already runs flawless), or small adjustments here and there.

It's soooo different than fsx, everybody just wants to throw every addon from fsx and voila. This program is still young, developers are doing there best to provide compatibility. I say if your just going to bash it that the addons don't work, than just enjoy fsx for now. That's what I'm doing for the time being enjoying the lovely 777. With dx10 working now, it looks and performs pretty much the same as P3D v2.

2014 will be an exiting year for p3d!

It seems to me that the dynamics in xp10 are not as accurate as some people think it is. On approach in xp, especially on final you notice the plane is going way too slow, and it's a 747! With calm winds and normal approach speed.

I've noticed this in pretty much all xp10 videos.

The biggest turnoff for me in xp10 is the ai traffic, I wish there was more. But the biggest thing is no winter textures, or season change at all. If at least they put seasons into future updates, I would make the switch right away.

It's great to see that the fixes are soon to come with updates. I haven't tried p3d v2 yet, it's sitting in my computer awaiting to be installed, haven't found the time to do so. And from the feedback I've been hearing from others about it, doesn't make feel urgent in installing. I currently run fsx with all the great addons I've collected over the years with the new dx10 patch, and the sim looks just like what I see from shots of p3d v2, just no shadow effects. And it runs smooth. But I will be making that switch to p3d once it matures a bit, I still feel its in beta, besides pmdg 777, doesn't work in it. This platform definitely has a positive future ahead.
