OK, it took me all day and about a hundred FS reboots but I found the offending folder/file. It oddly enough came from an add-on called "Atlanta Adjusted Landclass" or "atlutrep.zip" found on Avsim. The strange thing is, the read me says it only is supposed to cover an area about 40 miles from the center of downtown Atlanta, and yet this has caused a large chunk of my scenery to vanish way out in Beaufort, South Carolina. The zip file only contains the one .bgl, if anyone who knows what they are doing wants to take a look at it. I am quite curious as to what caused this. It was the guy's first scenery he ever made. Thanks, Andrew.

Hmm. I checked and it was showing read only, so I cleared that up and thought it might work, but after rebooting and such, it is still pointing to the documents folder instead of the add-on scenery. I guess it's not too big of deal; just have to take a few more steps to get to the add on folder. I did notice some strange behavior in other things though, such as my AFCAD 2.2 keeps jamming up now, taking a unusually long time to load the airports, and showing files as "unknown". Very strange. I think I may have too much stuff loaded on my sim now. Might have to delete and reinstall from scratch.

    Thanks for your help tgibson.
