I found a solution. I uninstalled the Garmin Trainer and downloaded another version from the link provided in the RXP README: http://download.garmin.com/software/GTN_GDU620PCTrainer_6211.zip It works now.

I have the same problem, in my case with the GTN 750. In X-Plane, it shows the bezel but the screen is black. When I installed RXP GTN 750, it launched the Garmin trainer setup for version 2.7.10, which is the one that seems to be required. However, the Garmin setup started and showed this message saying: Action Plan There is an updated installer that is required to download packages. Please click the button below to proceed. The only buttons available are "Back", which does not install it, and "Update Installer", which installs version 3.0. I proceeded with Update installer, and the Garmin Trainer was installed, but then RXP GTN 750 complains with that error in the log file. Is there another way to install the required version of the trainer?
