  1. Yes, I did. I've given up on it now. I regret spending the money on it. The simulation of the G1000 appears to be absolutely dreadful. It's strange since Mindstar seems to do a good implementation of the G1000. I'm surprised Carenado don't just take their simulation and use it.
  2. I am trying to fly an ILS on the Phenom 300 (latest version, with Nav extension and latest Navigraph) on FSX Gold Edition. Even though I can load and activate an approach, the FMS never sequences to capture the LOC or GS. Normally if you are receiving vectors, the PFD shows HDG in green with LOC in white and GS in white. But as the LOC is captured the LOC and GS should turn green. They never do so the FD never commands lateral or vertical navigation. What am I doing wrong? Also the GCU has Softkey Select at the bottom, with SEL in the middle and arrows on either side. This cannot be clicked at all. Is this a known bug or again, am I doing something wrong? Just for the record, I am a pilot, IFR rated, but never flown jets so while I have no experience in this airplane, I am familiar with real life G1000s. But I am not an expert in FSX. Any help appreciated.
  3. OK, here it is. Understand that this is my first go and is nowhere near complete. It's based on the original panel.cfg and I have modified it. // This Panel.cfg file created by FS Panel Studio panel editor utility - http://www.fspanelstudio.com // Built Sunday, October 09, 2016 at 17:19 FSPS Build:22900 [Window Titles] Window00=Main Window Window01=PFD Window02=Autopilot Window03=MFD Popout //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window00] file=2d panel.bmp Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=1280 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=7 visible=1 ident=0 gauge00=MPI_G1000!PFD, 239,670,484,329,PFD0|Cessna.Mustang gauge01=MPI_G1000!AUDIO, 733,670,55,329,AUD0|Cessna.Mustang gauge02=MPI_G1000!MFD, 798,670,484,329,MFD0|Cessna.Mustang gauge03=MPI_G1000!AP_CONTROLLER_CESSNA, 704,603,140,51 gauge04=Magnetic_Compass!Magnetic-Compass, 1022,411,95,86 gauge05=MPI_G1000!MUSTANGPAD, 45,36,400 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window01] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=640,435 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=6 visible=0 ident=11000 gauge00=MPI_G1000!PFD, 0,0,640,435,PFD1|Cessna.Mustang //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window02] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=320,240 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0 visible=0 ident=30 window_size= 0.250, 0.100 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 zorder=0 gauge00=MPI_G1000!AP_CONTROLLER_CESSNA, 0,0,155,49 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window03] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=640,435 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=6 visible=0 ident=11001 window_size= 0.500, 0.500 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 zorder=0 gauge00=MPI_G1000!MFD, 0,0,640,435,MFD1!Cessna.Mustang [Default View] X=0 Y=0 SIZE_X=8191 SIZE_Y=4000
  4. I have downloaded a Citation ISP airplane (from http://flyawaysimulation.com/) with steam gauges and am trying to redo the panel using the Mindstar G1000 package. The end result is intended to look like http://www.sijet.com/g501sp-glass-cockpit Since this is my first attempt to do anything like this with FSX, I obviously expected some problems and many of them I have overcome. But I have three so far insurmountable. Although I realize now I should have made a new section in the G1000.ini file I used the Cessna.Mustang section. This section is reproduced below: [Cessna.Mustang] Style=10 AirspeedRangeLowCaution=90 AirspeedRangeFlaps=100 AirspeedRangeNormal=224 AirspeedRangeHighCaution=275 AirspeedRangeOverspeed=276 AirspeedBugVr=120 AirspeedBugVrVisible=YES AirspeedBugVxVisible=NO AirspeedBugVyVisible=NO AirspeedBugVgVisible=NO AltimeterBug=3000 AFCS=NO HobbsCounter=801 TachCounter=801 The gauge works but none of the airspeed ranges are drawn on the airspeed strip. The airspeed does function. I am sure this is fairly trivial to solve, but I can't see what is wrong. The second problem is I am using the Cessna/Piper autopilot pad. I already have a window which acts as a popout for the PFD and just clicking on the PFD opens that window. I was assuming the Autopilot would work the same way. But I can't get it to open. Documentation says that for the PFD the ident needs to be 11000 but I can't find an ident for the autopilot. This gauge is defined as follows (note no fifth parameter): gauge03=MPI_G1000!AP_CONTROLLER_CESSNA, 704,603,140,51 The last problem is that the MFD has no controls at all shown on the bezel which makes the gauge unusable. The gauge is defined as: gauge02=MPI_G1000!MFD, 798,670,484,329,MFD0|Cessna.Mustang I'm sorry if these problems are really trivial but as I said, it's my first try at any of this.
