GNS530 in the Realair Duke V2
I've been trying to install the Mindstar GNS530 in the Realair Duke V2 Piston for some time now, and I can't seem to figure it out. I've gotten close, but now I'm having other problems with clickspots, and fitting the gauge into the panel. The 2D popup works perfectly. This is what the instrument looks like so far: I've been editing the panel.cfg file to make the Mindstar 530 fit into the bezel, but I can't move it any more to the left, which is where I need it to go. Also, none of the buttons on the bezel are working. Is this a product of the instrument not being fitted properly? I was hoping someone who had the 530 installed into their Duke could share their panel.cfg file with me. Here's mine: [Window Titles] Window00=Main Panel Window01=Reality XP GNS 530 WAAS - RXP_CONFIG_TOOL - DO NOT CHANGE Window02=Blank [Window00] file=2D_Help.bmp size_mm=1024, 95 position=6 BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0 visible=1 ident=MAIN_PANEL [VCockpit01] size_mm=1024,1024 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$RAS_Duke_CFG background_color=1,1,1 gauge01=Config!Options, 1020, 1023, 1, 1 gauge02=Config!RealView, 1021, 1023, 1, 1 gauge03=RASDuke!InitVars, 1022, 1023, 1, 1 gauge04=RASDuke!1hzCode, 1023, 1023, 1, 1 gauge05=RASDuke!2hzCode, 1024, 1023, 1, 1 gauge06=RASDuke!18hzCode, 1025, 1023, 1, 1 gauge07=Config!AdfDip, 1026, 1023, 1, 1 gauge08=RASDuke!NavCom1, 1, 2, 509, 61 gauge09=RASDuke!NavCom2, 1, 64, 509, 61 gauge10=RASDuke!ADF, 4, 127, 332, 49 gauge11=RASDuke!Xpndr, 7, 243, 305, 57 gauge12=RASDuke!Autopilot, 5, 177, 292, 62 gauge13=RASDuke!DME, 4, 305, 256, 46 gauge14=RASDuke!Annunciator, 886,131,137,262 gauge15=RASDuke!KA285_Annun, 512,2,337,108 // =============================================================================== // IMPORTANT - 'gauge19'. Registry Error
OK I ran the tool and it fixed the registry issue. However, I'm getting another error message saying "The folder identified in the Windows Registry for Prepar3D V1 does not contain prepar3d.exe. This installation cannot continue until this situation is corrected or the folder is deleted." I'm trying to install the GNS into Prepar3D V2, and as far as I know I don't have Prepar3D V1 installed on my system.

Registry Error
Hello, I just purchased the GNS430/530 and I'm having trouble finishing the installation. I'm getting an error message saying "The Windows Registry points to FSX and Prepar3D V2 in the same folder. The installation cannot continue until this is corrected." I'm not using any migration tools. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Runways and Taxiways Underground
Hello all, Just finished installing ORBX NRM 1.40 in P3Dv2.5, and I've been having problems with the Kelowna (CYLW) airport. As shown in the screenshot, half of the runway and taxiways are underground. Also, there are trees on the apron. I've tried everything I could think of to fix this, but now I'm pulling my hair out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Feeling like I'm not getting the most out of my GPU
That's what I thought, but I wasn't 100% sure. Come to think of it, I do hear my CPU fan more than my GPU fan when I run P3D. Sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. Forgive my ignorance, but has it been made known if the release of these drivers is somewhere in the foreseeable future?

Feeling like I'm not getting the most out of my GPU
Hi All, I run P3Dv2 on my system using an AMD HD7870 2GB GPU on a 24" monitor. Ever since I installed it, it's been performing great, giving me ~60 FPS on pretty much any game I throw at it. However, I don't feel that I'm getting the most out of it. What I mean by that is whenever I'm running a graphic-intensive program OTHER than P3D, I can clearly hear my GPU's fans, and they get quite loud as the card heats up. When I run P3D, however, the fans never get as loud as when I run other games, making me think that whenever I run P3D, I'm not getting the most out of my card. I average around 30 FPS in P3D with medium-high to high settings, but I'm feeling like I could be getting more. Any suggestions? Is this a dumb question or does this make sense? Maybe my GPU is running normally, or maybe there is something I can do to make it run better when using P3D? Thanks

Question before purchase
So I've been tempted to buy the 777 for P3D for a while now, but there's always one question on my mind: will I get decent performance on my system when I fly it? I'd be looking for a minimum of ~20 FPS. Would anyone be able to guess, based on my system specs, how well the 777 would perform on my system? I'll post my system specs below. Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated. Windows 7 64-bit Intel Core i7-2600 @ 3.4 GHz 8GB DDR3 RAM 2TB HDD 120GB Kingston SSD Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD7870 2GB GPU

Must See! REX Soft Clouds
Yup, that's exactly what's been happening to me. As I'm about to fly through a deck of cloud, some of them magically spin away vertically and disappear, making the cloud layer thinner. It's making it impossible to create a thin layer of cloud.

Must See! REX Soft Clouds
I bought REX soft clouds recently, and I've been having trouble finding the right texture set for a realistic layer of fog. Normally fog is only 100-500 feet thick, and every time I try to set a thin stratus layer in P3D v2.4 with soft clouds, I get these thin "slices" of cloud that look very unrealistic. They look broken even if I set them to Overcast in ASN. I can clearly see blue sky between them. I haven't yet been able to replicate a thin overcast stratus layer with REX and ASN. I've noticed that some people have taken some nice screenshots depicting realistic fog with REX soft clouds, which is one of the main reasons I bought it. So I guess my question is: How would I go about replicating the fog seen in those screenshots? Thanks

BIG SUR 2 STAR KSFO Vectored or not?
The BSR2 Arrival is not an RNAV STAR, meaning that ATC will issue altitudes, crossing restrictions, speed restrictions, etc. (they can still do this on an RNAV STAR) Notice how it says "Expect 10,000" at BOLDR. Since this is not an RNAV STAR, ATC may or may not instruct you to cross BOLDR at 10,000. It's simply there to give you an idea of the altitude you can expect there. You are also required to follow the arrival's route until ATC gives you vectors to join final or for traffic, etc. Hope this helps.

Livery Request
Hello All, I was wondering if someone would be willing to paint a North Cariboo Air livery for the Majestic Q400. It would be very much appreciated. http://www.airliners.net/photo/North-Cariboo-Airlines/Bombardier-DHC-8-402-Q400/2504923/L/&sid=220909cc66c4949c2c478120b5d0cf29

P3D v2.3 CTD
EDIT: Just looked on the HiFi forums (which is where I should have looked in the first place) and many other people are having this problem. I'll just have to wait for HiFi to release an update! Thanks to those of you who helped me with this issue.
