  1. Thanks! That did the trick, everything seems to be working as expected now.
  2. I found this handy guide that helped me fix my shadows- you have to edit some datarefs within XP to do so but it's not too hard. https://forum.thresholdx.net/topic/187-a-decent-guide-to-crisp-shadows/ If you do not want to create a script as the link describes, there is a dataref editor plugin that you can install which allows you to edit datarefs from within XP. The ones I find myself tweaking the most are: sim/private/controls/shadow/csm_split_interior sim/private/controls/shadow/csm_split_exterior and sim/private/controls/shadow/cockpit_near_adjust sim/private/controls/shadow/cockpit_near_proxy The first two are persistent- once you change the setting it will hold. csm_split_exterior is the one you want to adjust for your exterior shadows. Valid input is 1 through 4, with higher numbers increasing the resolution. I believe csm_split_interior is how the shadows on the exterior are viewed from the within the cockpit, but don't quote me on that. The second two are not persistent, and you will have to edit these every time you start XP unless you create a script to do so for you. The link I shared will show you how to create that plugin. cockpit_near_adjust is the shadows inside the cockpit in your immediate vicinity, and I find that a value of 2 usually does the trick. In the case of cockpit_near_proxy, a lower value is preferred and I typically set mine between 0.2 and 0.5. edit: the comments regarding dataref persistence only applies if you're using the dataref editor plugin. if you create the script to edit the datarefs for you, they'll always be applied when you start XP.
  3. I'm having some trouble with the GTN650, and it seems to have started at or around the time of the latest update. On the GTN650 if I select the flight plan page (but only by clicking the current flight plan from the default NAV page. Going directly to flight plan from the home page does not cause this issue) or display the map, immediately I get a message saying "Pilot stored data was lost. Recheck settings." From what I can tell, no data is actually lost, and previous user settings seem to be intact. This seems to happen every time I follow those procedures. I've tried reinstalling the GTN, tried applying the latest update, and tried multiple aircraft with no fix in sight. I also have the GTN750, and does not seem to be having this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated! /mp
  4. Unfortunately, I cannot compare to the default livery. Most of the bmp files are giving me an error in Photoshop- "Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered." That goes for most of the liveries I've downloaded also. Maybe one or two files can be opened on my PC without error, however they load mostly (not tires) fine in Prepar3d. Could you post a screenshot of Care185fuse_A.bmp so I could at least compare? I've always assumed this was because the craft is relatively old, and was a BMP vs. DDS issue. Perhaps I'm having an issue specific to my computer?
  5. I have run into an issue when trying to create a new livery for the C185 Tundra, that the tires display as if they're chrome. Originally I thought that I was saving my files incorrectly, but I noticed that ANY livery I install, including the Carenado paint kit livery, results in chrome tires. Everything else on the model displays correctly. The only livery that has not caused me this issue was the default livery that came when installing the C185 Tundra. Has anyone else ran into this issue and were able to resolve it? Default livery: Livery downloaded from Avsim: Carenado repaint: My livery:
