I've now got my Joystick working, I changed the ID on JpyID from #2 to #11, but there's another problem, now my throttle is not working. I tried it in the PMDG 777 and the problem is that when i go fully backwards the throttle in-game goes into idle reverse and i can't get it put of that mode without clicking the reversers. I've got controllers disabled in P3D and the throttles mapped in FSUIPC as throttle 1 and 2, both are calibrated. It does not work in the aerosoft airbus either, so it's not aircraft related it seems.
Thanks in advance

5 hours ago, Pete Dowson said:FSUIPC5 is the 64-bit version and only runs in Prepar3D version 4. FSUIPC4 is the 32-bit version and it remains the version for FSX, FSX-SE and all Prepar3D versions up to but not including 4.
The assignments in your INI file are a bit mixed up. With several devices you should be using Joy Letters (change the parameter in [JoyNames] so that they don't get misassigned.
Please post details of your X-56 problem in my Support Forum. That is where I do actually support FSUIPC. There are interim updates to FSUIPC 4.969 which might help but I need more information first.
Pete
Thank you very much for the answer I'll be sure to check out the FSUIPC forums next time, but if I may I'd just like you to clearify what exactly I need to do with the joy names? Do you want me to change the numbers in front of the controllers, or is it something else that I need to change, if so, what do I change it to?

On 2017-07-28 at 0:48 AM, Pete Dowson said:No, it is always best to disable controllers. No need to delete any assignments whatsoever. FSUIPC assignments bypass all of the P3D joystick input code.
It sounds like the OP is using an older version of FSUIPC as earlier problems with both X-55 and X-56 were resolved a while back, as well JoyIDs. And he/she only needs to look at the About screen in FSUIPC Options, or on most any of the documentation, or in the place where he/she downloaded FSUIPC from, to find a link to my Support Forum, which is the best place to go for Support of FSUIPC, surprisingly.
Pete
Thanks for your response Pete, I saw yesterday that version 5 of FSUIPC is now availible on Simmarket, do you think that I should upgrade to that version instead of using version 4?

On 2017-07-27 at 10:39 PM, vgbaron said:Well, fwiw, I have all my controls mapped through FSUIPC5 - SaitekX55 Rhino, CH Yoke, Ch Throttle Quadrant, CH Rudders and I have ALL joysticks disabled in P3Dv4 with no issues. Bewen running that way for years.
Fred, when you say JoyID didn't work - do you mean the program failed to run or you didn't see anything?
You might want to post your FSUIPC.INI file. Also what version of FSUIPC are you using?
Vic
Well I did not see any change after downloading JoyID. I'm using FSUIPC version 4 in P3D V3, do you think it would be a good idea to change over to FSUIPC version 5?
And here's my .ini file as you requested

8 minutes ago, David Roch said:No, you have to remove buttons and keys assignments and let the controllers ON.
Now I feel a little stupid I must say, so do I have do delete the axis assignments in P3D to make them work in FSUIPC?
-
12 minutes ago, David Roch said:Fred, you say you have disabled controllers in P3D.
It can't work!Or am I wrong?
When using FSUIPC you should disable your controllers in P3D, otherwise P3D will override FSUIPC, at least that's what froogle said in his video

1 hour ago, vgbaron said:If you look in your fsuipc.ini file I think you'll find that the ID#'s have changed. Look for a program called JoyID - I beleive there is a link on the FSUIPC forum. This can help get it sorted.
Vic
Thanks for the fast response. I downloaded JoyID and it did not work, could possibly be me doing something wrong.. Do you by any chance have a link to that thread on the FSUIPC forums?

So, I've had the Saitek X-56 Rhino for a while, and it's worked without problems, until about a week ago. Neither the stick or trottle quadrant is working in P3D at the moment, but the wierd thing is it's working in the Saitek program. I've tried most of the usual stuff like changing USB port, I've also done a troubleshooting in Windows, with no results. I am using FSUIPC 4 and I have disabled my controllers in P3D. Very wierd problem, seems like it should be an easy fix.
Thanks in advance

Check the scenery library and make sure your add on airports are above or higher in the list than anything else. If they already are, then do you have some other 3rd party add ons, like FTX regions and/or UTX?
Basically, either your add ons aren't higher in the scenery library and/or you have conflicting AFCADS(files that define an airport - its runways, taxiways, parking spots, etc). You can do a simple search from your P3D root directory in windows for the airport(s) ICAO codes that your having trouble with. So for Gatwick let's say, search for EGKK and there should be no other AFCAD files for EGKK other than the ones from the 3rd party scenery you WANT to be there. Hope that makes sense.
well i dont' wuite get it.. I searched for EGCC, one of the most problematic airports, and lots of .bgl and .bmp files appear, also some .txt files. Now I'm not sure which files to delete and which ones to save, or did I not search for the right things?
-
So as the title discribes this is the problem I'm having for many addon airports, both UK2000, Aerosoft etc. The promblem seems to be that the addon airport installs, but half or more of the default airport is still left and put on top of the payware. There must be a way of solving this, but how??
Thanks in advance

Which CPU you have, I5 or I7?
Only a I7 CPU has HT function!
I have i5 :(
-
Go into the BIOS (reboot button DELETE) there select Settings Overclocking and bottom CPU features there Hyperthreading Enabele or Disable.
I can't manage to find that option in the "CPU features" here's a picture of it http://imgur.com/gallery/YltDquv/new

Be easier to help if you included what motherboard you are using......

Been going around the internet and just found out that turning off hyperthreading may increase perfomance. I wanted to try it but could not manage to turn it off, can someone please help me!!

Is this file un-needed by the orbx programs? Deleting it causes no issue?
Considering it's just an empty file (0kB) it should not make any difference, and just to let you know i ran my P3D after installing windows 10 and deleting the "TODO" file and it worked just fine!

Thanks for the fast response vgbaron, I tried turning on the "no reverse zone", but as far as I can see it caused another problem, now that I push my throttle with just the slightest millimeter forward the simulator pushes the throttle to about 50% N1, seems like an easy fix, you got any ideas?
Fred
